Spotlight Cranbourne

My go to place for all hobby supplies.I usually shop fabric, sewing patterns, yarn and other art supplies. The ladies in this section are very helpful. The store is almost always busy but service is constant and they churn out customers as quickly as possible.

Horrible experience. One girl on the register, constantly having to call someone for rules, advice, clues, whatever.Customers backing up but nothing's happening up front. Let's call someone out the back again.In times like this, instead of giving 'answers' over the phone, grow a spine, get of your rear, come down the front & take control by leading by example and SERVING CUSTOMERS.

Bought Winston 23m satin for a swag for 50th graduation ceremony, but found they sold us 11m of plain satin lower quality. Made 2 beautiful flower bouquets with the silk flowers they sell. Don't provide plastic bags free for large orders.

Not a great experience unfortunately. Prices were very high and limited product range. When I asked to speak to management I was told no one was available and I would get a call. Called a week later after not receiving a call and again was told that someone from management would give me a call, but didn’t. This was a month ago. Very poor.

The whole store was absolutely trashed, so many safety hazards in each aisle. I looked around myself for ages to find sequins and when I asked where to find them I was told to just order them on ebay.""

I was at craft area and Deen was very helpful lady. She was helping me to find my crafts and was very friendly too. Store need more beautiful people like her

This is my closest spotlight store and it's ok, but it's always super messy in the craft section and they show stock on the website that they don't have. Not a lot of staff are available to help, and when they do they can't really do much as stuff is in such disorder.I'd love to see the store really tidied up, this would make it a much better shopping experience.

A while ago i had to get some fabric for a cosplay/costume I'm making for oz comic con and Emma's suggestion turned out well! Brilliant customer service and great products. Thanks Emma!

After covid 19 there customer service become zero, First it is hard to find some to assist and when you find some to assist they are very rude that is not my department. I stop going to one in Cranbourne and i request the higher management to concentrate on customer service as no customer service at all in that store.

OMG, I can't believe how disgusting the presentation of this store is. Everything is just dropped where ever and the prices are not cheap considering how it feels like you are picking your way through the second hand remnants of a garage sale.I was silly enough to buy some knitting needles from the Cranbourne store this morning when, perhaps because of the disarray of the products, I picked up the wrong size needles.I must say at this point that I don't make a habit of shopping at Spotlight, it was just convenient at the time.On returning to exchange the needles for the correct size and having explained to the customer service girl that i wished to exchange them, she completely ignored everything I had just said and tried to make me pay for the needles again by saying 'That will be $9.50'. I said to her, for the second time, that I was exchanging them, you could see the utter confusion on the girls face. She asked if I had the correct ones? I didn't because I had literally walked through the door and to the service desk - she watched me do this.When looking for the correct needles amongst the mess that is the haberdashery department. I saw that the needles were actually $8.50. I advised the customer service girl of that fact on returning to the service counter.She said that head office change the price on the computer and don't advise the stores, so they can't keep the price on the shelf updated. I said to her that it was wrong and that they need to honour the shelf price and the incompetency of staff not keeping pricing accurate is not the customers problem.Words cannot explain the completely blank look on the customer service girls face.I would like to say that I would take my custom elsewhere, but alas there are too many lemmings that still believe that Spotlight stores represent good value for money that me taking my business elsewhere will make no difference to Spotlight what-so-ever.
