Unfortunately, there was a breach of confidentiality by our 'therapist' Orietta in the first session.After a private phone conversion with the promise of confidentiality, prior to the first face to face meeting, Orietta went on and divulged our personal conversation in the session to others attending the session.All respect was broken for all of us.She then went on and denied she ever promised it was confidential.As someone who works in the mental health sector for 25 years plus, I understand the Policies and procedures which need to be upheld, one being the privacy act... as confidentiality is paramount in any session.This started a ripple effect of ineffective counselling and break downs and we quickly pulled out. Our daughter didn't like her approach and found her to be condescending with looks between colleagues, which were very inappropriate and made her feel unsafe..Best to find a qualified professional.
