The recent reviews are all true. My experience follows the same script. Simply avoid and spend the extra money, it's cheaper in the long run.They will hassle you to make a booking and lock in a deposit. Messaged the day prior with a completely different booking time. Called 20 minutes before the rescheduled time to say the truck had broken down." Had to chase them up for a rescheduled time the next day

Surprised but they did ask for extra money for it involving some stairs. Wanted me to give them rating before offloading my goods, felt like a hostage at one point.

They arrived 1.5 hours early, which caught me a bit unprepared but was better than arriving late. They were quite efficient and pretty careful with my stuff, even with having to deal with a steep staircase at the new house. However, I was charged for 2.5 hours even though my quote was for 2 hours and they were done after 1.5 hours. Will call them up tomorrow and see if I can get a refund for the extra half hour.

I booked a 9am move. I was told the night prior their trucks would be here by 12pm. On the move day they did not show up until 5.30pm. They did not contact me at all during the day to keep me updated on the progress, staff were unresponsive and provided false information - talked to someone who was blunt, cut me off and hung up on me. Poor customer service. I had to call up to ask where my service was - overheard the staff didn’t actually book my service with the contractors, and was going to cancel my service all together and not tell me. Poor form. Have tried to obtain my invoice for the last few weeks as proof of service and my payment but they have not responded to my simple request. Contractors doing the move was good, the company is not. The movers also shared complaints on this company- glad we had something in common.

I hired this company to do a local move for large items and furniture. The office service staff seemed fairly professional, but the same can not be said for their movers.Despite advertising 'no hidden fees' on their website, on moving day, one of the movers saw that we had stairs and charged us a hidden 'stair fee' - to be paid in cash to him specifically. We didn't have cash on us so he told us to go to the ATM to get money - out which we couldn't - so he said to bank transfer him the money and make it out as a 'gift'.When we tried to call the company about it to ask about these fees, he became aggressive and claimed we were 'abusing him' and that if we had a problem we could get another truck and do the move another day. Of course this would involve a $100 fee, but by this point I wasn't surprised by these guy's efforts to squeeze money out of us. We ended up paying the guy since not doing so would put us even more out of pocket. Thankfully we were able to explain the situation to the office staff, who took the 'stair fee' out of our final fee.We put in a complaint to the company but its been nothing but silence from them since. Don't hire this company. The people you talk to on the phone might be okay but their movers will literally scam you out of your money.

5 hours late. Turned up told me to either pay $60 of they wouldn't do the job because there were two flights of stairs that they were told about while booking, and was told there was no extra charge.Driver was reversing the truck to leave because I refused to pay the additional $60. Told him I would pay as I simply needed the job done. Called the office they told him there is no extra charge for stairs.Driver wanted me to pay the minimum cost to My Moovers and then cash to him for the remaining. This didn't end up happeningOnce job finally completed the driver stood over me forcing me to post a positive review. Which I have of course now edited.Stay away from this company and their sister company clean my crib. Overall horrific experience.

Had a very negative experience with My Moovers and when I cancelled my booking I was hit with significant cancellation fees - $450 in total for moving and cleaning. The company altered the T&Cs between taking my original booking and my cancellation - effectively doubling the cancellation fees, which is illegal. Impossible to hold the company to account due to phone dead ends and noone responding to email. When I did to speak to people, I received very poor customer service, felt harassed and was frequently hung up on. Currently pursuing the matter through relevant Fair Trade and Ombudsman channels and would encourage others who have had a similar experience to do the same due to the sham nature of how My Moovers trades.

Horrible. I was given a time slot of 7-10am. They called at 8.30am and said they would arrive at 10am. Turned up at 10.35am. He asked if there were stairs in the new complex, when I said yes he tried to charge me a stair fee. When I said the quote stated no stair fee (and I showed him the email saying as such) he rang the office to try to get stair fee charged. When that didn’t work he said, “the company sit in their office in Melbourne, they don’t work doing this like I do.” He then stood in my driveway arguing with me and calling the office for 20 minutes - which I paid for as I was quoted an hourly rate. He gave me his phone so I could talk to the office and when I again refused to pay a stair fee he was angry and was careless with my furniture.One man stank of beer and actually offered me one. Thankfully he was not the one driving. They told me to reassemble my bed despite the quote saying this would be done for me. They didn’t have Allen keys or a screwdriver - luckily I did. Would think those are necessary for removalists. They also refused to transport glass shelves from a bookcase, apparently they can’t be moved in the van. I had to move these myself in my car.One man asked if I was moving because I had separated from my partner. Then asked how long I’d be staying in the new place and if I had anyone living with me. As a single woman these aren't nice questions to receive from a stranger who knows my address and phone number. He also complained about how heavy my furniture was (the heaviest item was a small console table).When the move was finished, he asked me to put in a star rating on my phone while standing over me watching the screen. He also asked for a screenshot, which I managed to avoid sending him.Stay away from these guys.

Worst moving experience of my life. Moving arrival time changed by company less than 24hrs prior to move. The Movers then showed up 4 hours late with the wrong sized truck - too small. On hold with My Moovers for most of day - on hold for 45 minutes at times, continually hung up on, transferred to another member who had no idea about previous calls, ensured I would receive calls back then no one would return the call. The company then tried to charge me for the wrong sized truck, a big one rather than the size of truck that actually arrived. Price also didn’t include GST despite being told it was a flat rate charge. The movers told me that they would arrive at the new house at 1am and would unload the truck. I then immediately called the company and after multiple phone calls and extended periods on hold, I was assured the time had been changed to 8am the next day as 1am is obviously a completely unacceptable time to be unloading in a suburban street. Despite this, the movers then turned up at the destination at 1am and demanded to unload. They called me multiple times in the middle of the night demanding they were to unload the truck.Was told by movers that their boss told them time was non-negotiable and they had to unload but when I challenged this, they refused to put me through to their boss. The movers then parked the moving truck in driveway of the house regardless and had the ignition on all night. Multiple phone calls from movers between 12-1am and text messages at 1:30am. In the morning, movers then refused to unload items, demanding payment despite being informed payment had already been paid in full. I will never, ever be using this service and will be going out of my way to ensure nobody else I know uses them either. Easily the worst company I have ever dealt with. Completely unprofessional and a disgrace. You couldn’t make it up!!

We had a time slot booked between 7-10. Which then got changed to 8-10. Got a text asking what time, to which we said 8am. They then called us at 8:50 and and they would be there at 11am. 10 minutes later they showed up. They were really nice and fast. Once they had done the second trip, we got asked to pay half via credit card and the rest via cash (told not to tell the company). I then called the company thinking it was suspicious to which they' confirmed do not pay cash. Too We told them this after they had done and tried to argue their way. Once they left they then called us and harassed us and were quite abusive. And blamed us for them getting fired.
