H&R Block

Not very good value for money. Charge disproportionately more to take fees out of your return. Need to have a receptionist at all times to avoid interruptions during your booked appointment. Won't be returning next year.

I have been a client of H & R Block for many years and have always experienced a friendly, professional, informative, and caring approach from their staff members. I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Tax withheld like the other review and lied to about when id recieve it. Ill never go back again.

I believe they had a trainee do my return and I received 10% of what was quoted.Will never go back here

Did not explain that paying for your assessment from your tax refund would incur an additional fee until it was too late for me to change my mind.Took a reception call in the middle of our appointment.Did not know how to use the software, and required another accountant to leave their appointment to help.Took 25 days after my appointment to lodge my tax return with the ATO, despite my partner, who had his done at the same time, having his completed in a timely fashion.When I called to ask about this they merely said that it was a problem with the ATO portal lagging behind to show lodgement dates. Stated I would need to come back in to sign something but that my return had definitely been lodged and processed and was just waiting to deposit into my account. This is when I brought up the payment concern and they were actually helpful here in letting me pay the cheaper upfront option over the phone.I checked my ATO portal on the 14th and it showed it has just been lodged that day. So I called the ATO to ask if this was factual. And it was. H&R block persistently lied about the status of my return and were deceptive in explanation of the fees involved with lodging a return through them.I will never be back in to this Joke of a franchise. What a total waste of time and money.EDIT: as of April 2021, the ATO has found an error made by the accountant" who processed this return

Don't bother. Lack or professionalism, accountability , efficiency and honest communication.

Leanne was an absolute legend. She picked up on things that no other tax agent has in the last 10 years for me. She gave me valuable information and some laughs! Would recommend!

Wendy was great, very helpful and relaxed and made visiting an accountant much easier than expected.
