Reflecting on a great weekend in the Ranges made better by the welcoming hospitality and cosy accommodation provided by Maj and Daniel, and of course how can I go past the breakfast in the morning! Merrow Cottages was the perfect retreat for a weekend away, hidden off the main road and yet close to all the great locations in the Ranges, Maj Daniel we cannot thank you enough! See you next time

My partner and I arrived late on Friday after check-in, but we were given easy-to-follow details on how to get in. Once inside we were met with a gorgeous place, with an array of local produce, including bread, home-made jam, ample milk and local tea blends as well as coffee pods for the coffee machine. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we were greeted by a lovely humidifier that played sleep sounds" - we ended up keeping it on for most of our stay as it was nice background music. The spa was superb and we enjoyed most of our Saturday afternoon and evening in it

Spent a wonderfully romantic night in the Forest Edge cottage. Beautifully furnished romantic getaway with open fire, candle lit spa and gorgeous four poster hidden away in dandenongs. Bacon and eggs with fresh bread for breakky. Loved the decor - especially all the quirky pictures. Maj and Daniel - the owners are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend ++++

Perfect place for a couple very memorable. Beautiful location in the rainforest. Sets an amazing mood with a fireplace and spa with some beautiful bottle of port to get things going. Can tell the lovely couple who own this place put a lot of thought into creating a memorable stay for their guests. Thx very much loved your slice of heaven. Can't wait to go back

My wife and I stayed in the deluxe spa suite for the last part of our honeymoon... to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The room smelled of smoke and as soon as we tried to light the open fire we realised why.. the wood was wet so wouldn't light properly and smoke started billowing into the room as the fire damper wouldn't stay open.The bath robes & towels didn't smell too clean, there were no organic products in the bathroom as stated, plenty of candle holders but no candles which didn't really matter anyway as there were only 2 dead matches !! .. and the list goes on . Things like kettle didn't work, fridge wasn't cold for champagne not even a bin to put rubbish in......I must say the bed was comfortable.We paid a premium price after reading all the positive reviews and expected far more for the price. We feel we received just common motel facilities at the premium price. It seems that since the owners went overseas and put the property on the market and in the hands of agents, everything has gone downhill. The special things that make it an experience have all gone.It's a real shame as it's a beautiful property in lovely surroundings but we won't be going back.
