Left my bike few weeks ago for a minor service, I was quoted 30-35$ (which was already x1.5 more expensive that the other bike shop nearby), came back to pick up the bike and my quote was pumped 5x the initial price, without a warning or my consent. I was told that they had to upgrade my “cable” and service the bike(which was really not needed). 10 days later the problem came back… went to the other bike shop and got it fixed neatly.Avoid this one…

I left my bike in to get repaired. One of the gears kept slipping and I was told that something was just out of place and it would cost $25 to fix. I went back the next day and they tried to charge me $125 for a new gear wire and some other extra work. They had done this extra work without calling me to check whether it would be okay with me. Eventually we settled on $80, but I was still paying for a lot more than I asked for

Got my bike somewhere else but it came in a box and not assembled. Pushed it in a shopping cart here to borrow a spanner. The guy was kind enough to lend me a spanner and a pair of scissors while other shops couldn't cared less. Thanks to them I was able to assemble my bike on the street and not having to push a big clumsy box in a wonky shopping cart all the way home. They were very kind to me even I DIDN'T buy anything from the store. Gotta drop by and buy some bike accessories just for what they did to me today.Edit: went there and got a pair of fenders on the next day

Just want to give a 5 star rating for the exceptional service I received from the Manager and crew at Lonsdale St Cyclery.I purchased an item from in their shop and due to my incorrect research I purchased the wrong product for my bike. When I called them the next day to notify them that I ordered the wrong item the were extremely helpful with ordering for me the correct product and were willing to ship it to me with no hesitation.Top service from the staff. The shop itself was clean and really inviting and well layed out. Heaps of cool items for sale and all the best brands.

Unreal customer service - John and the team have genuine care for their clients. Nothing is ever too much (or too little) to get their help. You can always trust they will look after you.A real rarity in a retail setting - the store is a lovely space to find yourself in. The team have created a welcoming vibe and are great to chat to as they tinker with your bike.If you are in Canberra and have any issues re your two-wheeled moving mobile, this is the place to go.

Walked in at 8am needing a broken spoke repaired. Got a text later in the day confirming the work was done. Awesome! Take note other bike shops, communication is easy and customers LOVE it. I’ll be back.
