Andy's Bakery Cafe & Gelato

Dropped in for Lunch today, Pepper Pie and a Coffee - Met with a lovely smile from the staff serving. Pie was served immediately and the coffee took less than 2 minutes. Coffee was nice and hot, and the pie was spot on. Couldn't ask for anything more - recommended.

Once a powerhouse in the region, the famous Andy's 24 hour bakery is now a shadow of it's former self.No longer open 24 hours, and now often under-staffed.Average food, at average prices. Good ice-cream, if you're prepared to wait.

I was told by a mate that they serve the best ice cream in Tasmania here so I took a 50km bike ride to get here, and although I do not know about best they ice cream was still pretty good

Terrible bakery. Young girl serving too busy chewing like a cow with chewing gum to even smile. We purchased two toasted sandwiches, next to no filling in them and a can on soft drink $20.50. So overpriced for crappy food and crappy service.

Called in for a coffee & snack on the weekend. What a shock! Not at all what we remember. Shabby & looked uncared for at the front. Considered not going in but did for old times sake. Coffees ok, slice ok. A 5 year old could have done a better job with the wrap (sorry to 5 year olds). It was also soggy. Could not eat it. Food overpriced. Such a shame that this business has gone downhill in such a pretty town. Once worth calling into, but won't be caught again.

Such a disappointing decline. Over many years Andy's was always a much anticipated visit. It is now just a shadow of its former self. It is now severely understaffed and the staff they do have on wouldn't know customer service if it bit them on the proverbial. After waiting about 25 minutes for 3 coffees we started to get a little bit impatient. When the coffee did arrive, the young lass informed us that they had run out of mugs due to how busy they were. A quick head count had the customer total at 6 of which 4 of those where drinking out of mugs. To add insult to injury patrons opting to have something to eat had their food served on plastic plates, with a dirty cutlery option. If you are just passing through Westbury for Andy's I wouldn't bother. ETC an extra 20 or so minutes down the road is a much better option.

Good job Andy's. Because of the flat refusal to allow the two scoop cup to have two different flavours for a small child (after all its still only 2 scoops), rather wanting us to buy a 4 scoop cup, you lose 4 immediate sales (3 of those being the 4 scoop cup) and as locals, we will no longer be doing our bi weekly/ weekly stop by.The poor staff, so terrified of being watched on camera to even begin to try to being to make amends. How much greed is there for a couple of extra dollars? Is it worth unhappy regular customers [no longer] and fearful (resulting in unhappy) staff?Sad, very sad.

Just saw the sign Best pies & coffee at Andy's" as we were driving thru town so since we're partial to a meat pie we shared one. Plain pie $5.50 - I nearly fell over!! It was nothing special - not bad but if you're actually advertising that they're the best a charging as if they are....it had better blow your socks off! Nope. Just average. The stalking rooster out front was entertaining though haha."
