Woolworths Metro Carter St

Conveniently located Woolworths store for nearby apartment dwellers. The store is impeccable and they have a great selection of products, there’s a cafe, sushi bar (my favourites are the crispy salmon and mayo, and the tuna with crispy onions, omg!). One weird thing we encountered was, we live within walking distance, and when we entered we grabbed a trolley and proceeded to fill it with our groceries, as you do. After paying I wanted to take out my bags and walk home, but there’s no trolley bay outside. My wife needed to push the trolley back inside the store, through the security gates at the entrance, and then had to walk through the store again, back around to the exit. It seemed so odd!

Convenient for the area but the residents of SOP deserve better. Fruit and veggies for example are consistently 2nd grade and not at all well presented. A bigger variety is needed with the dairy products. At times I choose travel 10 minutes to go to Concord...Aisles are however stocked and well presented.

Woolworths Direct to Boot is located inside the carpark across from 11 Canning Street. Make sure you select ‘parked in bag’ before you enter the carpark as reception is limited.

All staff working at Metro is super friendly with a smiling on arrival. Fruits pretty limited, gets you by for couple of days, but the rest of stock is a nice varieties comparable to a full size woolworths.

All Staff are friendly especial mention to the one who makes my coffee she even remembers what I drink every-time I come since I live in one of the building around the area . I’m not sure her exact name if it’s Puja or Pooja . Her customer service was amazing and very welcoming !! Huge Thank you!!

Nice store within walking distance. Full stacks of groceries.The address on Google isn't accurate currently. It's about 20 meters to the Uhrig Rd.

A very conveniently located Woolies for Carter Street and surrounding residents. They have hot and fresh snack foods (incl. sushi) and barista coffee for a quick bite and drink, frequently at reduced prices early in the morning or late evening. Sadly, they are frequently sold out or out of stock for our regular items: pork belly rashers, $2 packet coleslaw cabbage mix, ciabatta bread loaf, Abbotts dark rye bread loaf. Range is limited due to the small store size, but prices are identical to regular Woolies. Decent but sometimes disappointing.Olympic Park local resident.

False Advertising. This is my local Woolies because I live above it, but will never go again. Marked an on sale item (Above $30), but charged full price. When I noticed the discrepancy on the bill I went back and asked for the price difference. They refused and before I could go back? They removed all signage, printed new signage and said that I was in the wrong and can’t offer me anything but a refund. What a joke.

I like this Metro especially the Mexican section which has a variety of healthy options which I have not seen elsewhere. My biggest dislike is their barista. They offer free coffee if you spend $30 with a voucher given once you pay. Coffee is horrible. Feels they don't have a proper barista and they have been training all employees. I have tried Cap/FW with normal milk, skim and even Almond milk. Tastes butter and is horrible.

My wife had her worst shopping experience with this store! She purchased 1 bottle of soy drink which the scanned price was higher than the shelf price. So she was talking to this counter staff about how it should be free of charge according to their scanning policy. The counter staff refused and said that my wife would be charged the shelf price. My wife then asked for the store manager who should know about this scanning policy. Eventually the counter staff came back and said ok, that soy drink would be free. We were just on our way home, my wife was checking the receipt and she surprisingly found out that there were 2 other items overcharged as well. It was very annoying how they can make mistakes like this so frequently and my wife had to go back to reason with them, also ask for a refund. There were 3 of them, 2 female counter staff and 1 male staff, who never introduced himself as store manager? 3 of them were arguing with my wife, there was barely any respect during their conversation with my wife. So extremely unpleasant, just terrible shopping experience! My wife said that she would never go back to that store! It's been 2 weeks since her last shopping with them.
