Royal Flying Doctor Service Alice Springs Tourist Facility

We visited this place as part of our tour in Alice Springs. It was very enjoyable and learnt lots about the wonderful work done by RFDS. Highly recommend a visit.

Great museum showcasing the history and the importance of such an incredible important service provided by the men and women of RFDS.

Very few countries in the world can offer medicine to so many that live so far away from the source. RFDS offers first class medical service to its population outside major cities and is predominately funded by public donation. A worthwhile charity? You bet. Simply the best.

A great way to spend time and for a very worthy organisation. Great little gift shop and all profit goes to the Flying Doctors. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Can not recommend this enough and such a great project.

Wow! A very informative experience. I came out very impressed with the passion of the team on duty during my visit and the quality of the exhibits. Learnt so much about the history of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and its past and ongoing contributions to Australians.Tours conducted every 30 minutes and are highly recommended. The museum and the VR stations are also very interesting.Souvenir shop is also well stocked. All proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise sales go to their operations.Toilets are ridiculously clean! Hospital grade!!Their on-site cafe (Base Cafe) is also highly recommended but please be patient due to their lack of staff.

Great artifacts and information about how it all began via video at beginning. Staff are very friendly and place is very organized. Made me want to apply to work for the service if I lived in Australia. Virtual reality experience was a great feature and really allowed you to take in all they do in the sky.

Great visit. Very informative. We were limited on time, but what we managed to squeeze in was very good. Video in the mini theatre was very professional and the kids loved sitting in the plane
