My experience with this building has been a disaster. During painting season last year, each time I passed by the reception counter, I would see some residents asking about noise being made (workers constructing the scaffolding, throwing the metal bars and poles on the ground, chitchatting noisily while painting) in the courtyard from January 2019 to July 2019 from around 5:30am to 3pm (why did they start that early in the morning? I’m not sure why.)Other reasons as to why I don’t recommend this place now:1) The building is old and most likely its walls are made of timber or some kind of wood. I believe that’s because it was a place made for farm animals in the past. The floors as well. So if there’s a fire, it might burn down easily. The fire alarm system is pretty good so I commend on that though.2) Since the building is probably made of wooden material, the walls and floors aren’t soundproof and so whatever noise is being made upstairs and downstairs you will hear them. This includes people walking around at home, talking, the opening of the BIR and at times doors. Also, if you live facing the courtyard, you will definitely find it incredibly noisy. Based on the physics of sound, sounds are reflected off walls and so apartments surrounding the courtyard act as ‘walls’ and thus sounds are heard more clearly from the apartments. With garbage truck arrivals from a starting time anywhere in between 4:30am ~ 7:30am, the sounds of garbage disposal can be heard clearly in any of the apartments facing the courtyard. People walking and talking in the courtyard can be heard from the apartments too. Animals, especially birds like ravens start cawing from 5:30am in the courtyard as well. Lots of noise coming from people holding events at the BBQ area too.3) Management: I stayed in a handful of other apartments in other residences and most of the staff were always so kind and friendly. Can’t say the same for this place though. Some are nice, whereas some provide terrible customer service.Good points:1) Facilities are good enough. There’s a swimming pool, a gym and there are many exits. The lifts, doors and intercoms are always working well too. Fire alarms work well, they don’t go off unless necessary. They go off only when a real fire occurs.2) The storeroom for online orders are open to the residents to collect their items. Always closed and protected after office hours. Haven’t seen anyone complain about their online orders going missing.3) The notice board is exemplary with lots of news, ads, services etc. Notices are placed at the right places.If you really need to stay here, don’t stay anywhere near the courtyard, the garbage disposal or bbq areas. Make sure the floors don’t creak and staying on the top floor or bottom floor is much better than anywhere in between two floors. The apartments facing in the opposite direction (towards outside) are always better.

Good building. Lived there 5 years. I forgot about the deposit I paid for the keys when I moved in and never got it back when I left :(

The rooms are huge and well lit. If you want to live comfortably in the heart of the city then this is the place. Conveniently close to Central Station and Broadway. The management is great, they take care if everything.

Brilliant staff look after this place. Facilities and grounds are great too. Happily recommend

We have been residents in a lovely rental since February 2012 and it is an absolute gem of a building in a city where adaptive re-use is often not brought to fruition the way Dalgety Square has been. The managing agents are on site and on duty making this a very nice experience each day.This is more than just a nice restoration and re-use it is a pleasure.

Beautiful green courtyard. Clean and tidy place. A good walk from here, down to Darling Harbour.

Great property with amazing access to the city. It's a beautiful building with a lot of good facilities such as the gym and poiol, library, games room etc. The place is also very well maintained by building management.

I've found the building management to be amazing, I rented here for 2 years before I bought an apartment in the building. Love it, the staff have been amazing all through COVID, and as long as you abide by the rules of the building everything goes smoothly.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM (I.E LEAKING PIPE ETC) THAT IS INCONVENIENT FOR THE RECEPTIONIST DON'T BOTHER TRYING TO NOTIFY BUILDING MANAGEMENT. RECEPTION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT.If I could give zero I would, on the basis of the front receptionist Amanda Haldenby. She has an absolutely awful outlook on how she treats residents. She is unprofessional and unhelpful.Tonight our kitchen sink started leaking for the first time. It was 5.30pm, my partner and I called reception asap to notify of the issue. Amanda picked up, as soon as we told her the scenario, her attitude turned sour, when asking her what her problem was she said You are my problem".Because of the time the leak occurred she didn't want to help

I have lived in the building for a number of years and absolutely love living here. The residents are friendly and amazing staff are always more than happy to help. If something needs fixing then it will be fixed asap.There's a real community feel about the place.I love living here!Apartments are large and the amenities are amazing.
