Wow - what a great meal, in an authentic and friendly place. I had the beef cheek gnocchi which was rich in flavour with soft and velvety gnocchi. Strongly recommend booking as the place was full. I just txt the number on the website which was responded to out of hours.

Driven from Melbourne (6.5) hrs.. My wife had the Gnocchi and I had the freshest crumbed sardines, both specials. We have travelled the world a number of times, but never had Potato Gnocchi like this. It was outstanding.The service was very cheerful and very efficient. A long way to come for the best Italian meal EVER. I would book as it gets very busy.March ‘22.

Great authentic Italian pizza and pasta, tucked away in a hidden alley way...The meals were sustainable size but authentic Italian flavours. Thank you for a great night out.

A stroll down a quaint alley in Merimbula lead us to a wonderful Italian experience with the ambience of being transported to a little Italian village with the aromas of garlic and herbs filling the air. The staff were very attentive to our requests. The food that was brought from the kitchen where it was told to us Mama was cooking from the heart was definitely full of flavour and textures to send the taste buds into overdrive. There is an option of sitting within the restaurant or outside in the alley, and given the night's warmth it was perfect to be seated outside in the alley. This restaurant has not long been open and I highly recommend it as an option for dining in the area.

three things we look for in a restaurant - relaxed atmosphere, great service and excellent food. Zaffiro ticks all three. I had the gnocchi which was fabulous and my husband had the chicken/mushroom ravioli which was to die for. we had a very relaxing evening - service was great and did i mention the food? Well this was an absolute gem in Merimbula! We had messaged the owner to book a table that night, knowing our chances were slim to none as we had heard they were extremely busy and always booked out... but Janine was amazing and squeezed us in. When we arrived, the staff were so lovely, very professional but genuinely friendly and nothing was any trouble. Between us we had ordered the garlic and cheese focaccia, chicken and chips kids meal, prawn tagliatelle, rigatoni lamb ragu, sticky date pudding and the choc hazelnut torte and everything was absolutely amazing! Between the atmosphere, staff, food and music, we were instantly transported right back to Italy. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will certainly be back next time we are in town.

Delicious Italian food in the heart of Merimbula. Food was prepared and served quickly, presented well and was very filling. Large selection of of entrees, mains and desserts to choose from. Will visit again.

My uncle invited me to dinner here and it was an awesome experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing and it was really well decorated. The food was great and the staff was very kind and talkative. Even off season the restaurant was full of people which gave it a very cozy vibe. Defined worth a try when visiting Merimbula.
