Great Ocean Ecolodge ist ein Anwesen mitten in der Natur, dass nur lokale, natürliche Resourcen nutzt. Zusätzlich engagieren sich die Betreiber in Tierforschung und Tierschutz. Eine einmalige positive Erfahrung. Zum Abendessen trifft man sich mit den anderen Gästen, in einer sehr gemütlichen Atmosphäre und zu sehr leckeren Speisen.

A wonderful set-up for children to interact with farm animals. All needs of families considered, including plenty of games for kids, campfire each night, access to play equipment and playing field, outdoor kitchen (in addition to inside) and deck, sharing of eggs collected. Lovely guidance by hosts for children to meet and feed animals safely and happily. Cottages thoughtfully equipped and very comfortable. Suggested improvement options include a little more space for food preparation, a small coffee machine and perhaps a dishwasher.

Took our money and never responded. Didn't even honour their own cancellation terms.We booked Charlie Bates Cottage for two nights in Jan 2021 and paid in full upfront. Unfortunately, we couldn't travel due to COVID-19 restrictions that prevented NSW residents from entering SA.After hoping the borders would re-open in time (and soon realising they wouldn't) we alerted Charlie Bates of our wish to receive credit for our accommodation as we were forced to cancel our trip to SA but wanted to re-book as soon as we could. We alerted Charlie Bates Cottage of this decision 8 days prior to our check-in date.We never received a response from Charlie Bates. We sent three emails, called and left a voicemail.The cancellation terms and conditions of Charlie Bates Cottage state that any cancellations made 7-14 days prior to check-in will incur a 50% fee which means we are due a 50% refund on the full accommodation costs we paid upfront.It's now 2 weeks since our visit should have taken place and more than 3 weeks since initial contact was made and we still haven't heard anything from Charlie Bates Cottage.We will be taking this case to the relevant regulator to recover our money.

I had the best time during my stay at The Stable Lofts. The rooms are fully equipment with everything we needed during our stay including good wifi, heating/cooling, and spacious bedrooms. There were even special touches like hot chocolate mix with marshmallows, farm laid eggs and freshly baked cookies, such a treat!Make sure you have an evening by the outdoor fire pit, there are blankets and games to play. I throughly enjoyed walking around the gorgeous gardens that surround the stables. There’s photo opportunities everywhere you look! Will definitely return for another stay in the future and thanks to the beautiful hosts that made us feel so welcome.

Fantastic B and B service, great accommodation in the McLaren Vale winery estates and close to many restaurants. Breakfasts served were unreal. Thank you from Ross and Vicki

Simple but comprehensive facilities. Friendly owner. I will certainly stay again.Edit: And then I tried to have a night's sleep. Not possible. The building itself is extremely noisy. Any noise travels right throughout it.

A great place to stay for a trip to Phillip Island. Walking distance to the penguins and a short drive to a lot of the other landmarks. A very friendly welcome with a comfortable room. Watching the wallabies from our balcony in the evening was awesome too.

Fantastic. Well presented. Wondetful gardens. Just have to remember to use inside voices inside. Can hear the train.

Beautiful place, great views around the accommodation, there are lots of outside activities, group of 10 to 12 can easily stay.
