This place wasn't authentic Japanese. The place was run by Chinese people. The food was decent western tasting Japanese. The service was good. The variety of food in the menu was very large. The sashimi dish was relatively fresh.

Not too bad. It was fresh, tasty and fast. Very friendly staff. Only 4 stars because the place is a bit lacking on atmosphere. I would love if they've decorated the place further more, and when you walked in, you felt like you're in a special place. I think they got all it takes to really be a great place to dine, so I hope they will redo the place.

Super friendly and fast service. We had a lovely experience both times we were there.The salmon and Tuna nigiri was so fresh and delicious and it melts in your mouth. There was a great variety to choose from. We love this place.

Fresh sashimi, the chicken curry is one of the best ive tried.friendly customer service most important it is well priced.highly recommended this place if you are around airlie beach area. We are visiting from melbourne the yatai sushi completed our whitsundays memories. :)thank you

Very nice place and affordable.Lovely lady working as cashier and waitress.The okonomiyaki was great!!The ramen was not wow but very affordable.The miso based is typical miso based from the package.I used to eat real miso broth from japanese chef. Price wise tiny bit more expensive and no chicken katsu. So in this case I will still recommend yatai.I give 4 stars for the room of improvement.I haven’t tried the sushi but they look ok.Place can be busy during dinner time.

Some of the best Japanese I have had in years! Personally travelled Japan, this place took me right back. I highly recommend the salmon sashimi donburi and the spicy pork minced ramen. Prices range around the $15 mark amazing value for quality food!
