GLENORCHY ICE RINK CLOSED

Good place to have fun with the kids have been a few times. the only disappointment to the place is the old lady there can be rude for no real good reason?

Best (only) ice skating rink in the state, therefore unique. Small but well maintained, busy in the holiday day we visited, friendly and mixed ability crowd. Skate hire was smooth and comfortable as possible.

If you have lessons there (not run by the owners), don't be pressured by anyone visiting there, trying to sell you second hand ice skates. Do your own research and diligence (online, or ask other figure skaters) to make sure any new or second hand ice skates are of good condition, good quality and are not being sold for more than they should be. Your choice to use either the skates the rink has (if available on the day you visit) or to buy your own (if you ice skate regularly), is your choice. Be aware if anyone tries to sell you any gear in attempting to make a quick sale.There is no issue with the owner. The issue is not about them. At their venue you may encounter others offering to sell items to you.

This experience was ok, the ice melted rather quickly in spots, lots of mounds in the ice a few holes. Ladies running it where pleasent however could be more enthusiastic about there jobs. For our first time on the ice it was fun.

My kids have been coming here regularly for the last three years, they have been enjoying the experience.

Used to go here 30 years ago. Literally every Friday night for probably 4 years hahaha!! Not much has really changed to be completely honest but that only adds to the charm of the place. I'm probably only saying that because it brought back so many memories but I loved it. Was cool being back there.

The one and only ice skating ring in Tasmania, great for kids and adults alike. A wonderful location for a date or a day out.

The people at the counter were rude (maybe a bad day?) and it was like they don't enjoy being there. One young girl whom worked at the place was good to deal with. Maybe she should take over and kick the grumpy old ducks out of it.One set of skates had the last person sock still in it gross.It's a small rink and was a bit crowded with traffic

Kids loved skating, didnt like the fact that it was only open in sessions kids wete only just getting used tp skating and it was over.....prices are expensive why do you need to pay for the use of penguins? I mean its not as tnough you can steal them..thay should be on the ice available for all to utilise...after you have paid $30 for two children extra if o wanted to skate...then the hire of a penguin $10.. $5 refund???? It makes for one very expensive 1 half hrs....if you pay to enter you should be able to stay as long as you like?
