I wish I had found Newcastle VW Centre before I had my car serviced at the local Skoda dealership. The quote to replace a knock sensor was $700 less than the dealership. I highly recommend this business for its workmanship and knowledge of all the VW and VW based vehicles.

I have been going to Newcastle VW Centre for about 7-8 years now with various VW Group cars I have owned in the time. Pete is a no-nonsense guy, but is genuine and trustworthy and his pricing for servicing and labour for repairs is realistic and sensible.I've had both regular logbook servicing, as well as modifications and repairs (eg rear main seal & waterpump etc) carried out in this time. I will continue to use Newcastle VW Centre over the VW/Audi dealership any day of the week, as it's far more convenient and easy to deal with, and when you pick up your car, you are talking to the guys who did the work which is always reassuring.

Absolutely pleasant experience with Newcastle VW Centre. Having suffered from a sudden increase in engine oil temp with multiple engine fault lights, the fault was quickly and accurately diagnosed even though their workshop was fully booked. They took the time to assist which i great appreciated. If they had the availability i wouldve definitely requested their services to conduct the repairs. Thanks again Shane, Cheers Joe

These guys only fool customers who know very little about cars (which is most people given the reviews here). I'm a qualified engineer - not so easy. They misdiagnosed a wheel bearing failing as a gearbox fault. They installed a steering column console so badly that they didn't charge for it and denied they had even done it. I believe they screwed up a simple wheel bearing change likely because they did not own the OEM tools needed to do the job and covered it by replacing the entire housing. Yes they are cheap. If you can't afford to maintain a VW, buy a Hyundai...

Called up to have my golf’s cracked thermostat looked at, not sure who I spoke to but they suggested contacting VW (even though it was just out of warranty). He quoted me a really fair price, though I got my car completely covered by VW. I will definitely be bringing my car here and appreciate the advice!

Zero care, zero response - almost a week of chasing without any call back or answers.It was 10 days from when our car broke down to when we could get it looked at. Its been a week since it was dropped off. We're under warranty and as a result have been promised a loan car for the interim (4 weeks). We have been chasing for an answer on when we will receive this and have not even received a return phone call. The bottom line is that these guys know that we're at their mercy and they simply don't care that its impacting us.
