Blackheath Glen Tourist Park
Avoid the unpowered sites - only use powered sites.I hate leaving a bad review but feel that anyone expecting space, level ground and a nice view should look elsewhere unfortunately. The unpowered section of this campsite is the worst I've seen. The rest of the park looked fine and I think my experience would be different if we'd known to ask for a powered site. Good warm showers, great camp kitchen, friendly and helpful groundskeepers. Please do something about the unpowered section.

A beautiful Caravan Park. The park is in a little hollow in the Blue Mountains. Lovely grassy grounds, lots of beautiful birds, clean facilities. Only stayed for 1 night but would have liked to stay much longer.

Stayed in a cabin. It's clean and tidy and quiet. Didn't get sheets or towels for all guests which I think was an oversight but apart from that it was a good stay.Park across the street for the kids and a public pool behind that. Close to the main street. 10 min walk.

Very disappointed with the park. Grounds very untidy and badly needs mowing. Bin area filthy. Bins look as if they have never been washed out and are very smelly. Didn't want to touch them as they were filthy. Amenities need a good clean, especially the floors. The grass was very long on the unpowered sites. The camp kitchen looked good even though we didn't use it and found the staff to be friendly. Very overpriced for the state of the park and no facilities and no TV reception. We are now at a beautiful caravan park overlooking the beach and paying the same price. There is no comparison between the parks. We have beautiful amenities, manicured lawns and state of the art camp kitchen. We would not stop at Blackheath again.

During my 6 night stay here, I was overall very impressed. The amenities were clean, with disabled bathrooms and showers, however one or two of the shower heads in the men's weren't properly functioning. There were also washing machines and dryers available for $4. The camp kitchen was above our expectation, as it had outside BBQs, and microwaves, kettles and other kitchen appliances inside. It's a great spot of refuge in the cold rain. The caravan/camping spots themselves were all flat except some on end near #35 where the plot itself was flat, but there were slopes in-between spots (not great for groups of campers). The tourist Park was close to many great bush walks and attractions, my personal favourites while staying there was scenic world - a must visit - and hanging Rock, a great view of the blue mountains, with a 11km fire trail to get there.

Very helpful site managers here. Park is very clean, and sites are well maintained. Stayed here for three nights (Thurs night to Sunday) and couldn't find any faults with the caravan site or amenities. There are also caravan sites available with private free-standing ensuites.$47/night for power and water. Stayed here previously and would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night on 1st April 2023 in my 19” caravan on a ensuite site. Friendly staff, and good amenities. Close to Blackheath town. 15mins to Katoomba. Great park across the road. Site was large, well marked, and easy to park. Ensuite was a good size and clean. I’ll come back for sure.

Wow.. Incredibly rude staff member on today! My partner and I spent the night at the sister park last night (katoomba falls) and we were very impressed with the gent that booked us in as he went over and above to help us plan out some good walks. We then checked out and made sure our site (no 17) was all clean and headed to blackheath glen for our next night. We arrived at the park just after 9:30 to see if our site was vacant and the office was locked and empty (even though the hours are 8-5) so we dialled the after hours number and spoke with the rudest woman who grunted and told us she would come to the office and check. As she walked over we smiled and said goodmorning and she completely ignored us, we then asked how’s your morning going to which she replied “IT WAS FINE UNTIL YOU CALLED” and rolled her eyes. She storms into the office and says immediately “site 26 is full” we said no worries we will wait until they check out and she grunts and bluntly says “CHECK IN AT 12”. The park looks completely empty there is 5 powered sites with no one in them just at the gate alone and she is clearly just in a terrible mood. Not acceptable to treat customers like this and considering we stayed at the sister park last night and booked them both together on the same day on the same website it seems a little unreasonable to not allow early check in after staying in one of their parks last night.

Good caravan park located in a very convenient location in Blackheath. Really good spot if you want to camp within the Blue Mountains as there are not many caravan parks around. Short walk to shops and supermarket. Unpowered campsites are isolated from the rest of the sites. You will need to walk about 50-100 metres uphill to get to amenities. Clean bathroom and BBQ facilities. Only one bin at the end of the unpowered camping area. No bins in bathroom or camp kitchen. Overall, fair priced camp sites for central Blue Mountains. Short drive to a few of the region's best waterfall and hikes. Thank you for a nice stay!
