David is an excellent sitar teacher, in my case because he is patient and appreciative of the difficulties which face a learner with no musical background, Western music or otherwise; the classes are always well paced and varied to stimulate interest and encourage regular practice which is essential to make progress, although the demands of practice are not arduous or unreasonable in the context of all the other things which a modern life entails for most of us. David allows entry to the world of the sitar which will forever more enrich your life

Kind and patient teacher - you can learn at your own pace - there is no pressure from David to move faster than you are ready but if you want to take it really seriously and excel, he is so knowledgeable and experienced, he can take you to that level of excellence also!

David is a wonderful and kind soul, always willing and able to share his knowledge and love for the sitar and music. I have been learning from him for over a year and he has been an incredibly patient and understanding teacher. He makes learning the sitar accessible through instrument rentals and repairs which has been a blessing. Highly recommend his tutelage for anyone interested in learning the sitar as an absolute beginner to it.
