Great location for the drive from Cooktown to Cairns. Brilliant service and the gluten free meal was excellent.

Great drop in pub. Visit to meet the cat.Excellent piece of real Queensland history. Even does gluten free meals and has added gluten free options for the Wednesday pizzas.

Great service and the best atmosphere on the Tablelands... The food is awesome too. Hard to beat this pub.

Excellent public house in every way in December 2009 I spent the night there , on my way to Cooktown the pub is so laid back

Stayed the night in their well presented rooms, had a great old queenslander feel to the place, showers and toilets not in the room but more than enough for all on the accomodation level, price was perfect, meals were excellent, service was great. It was everything you would expect in a small country town pub and more.

Great service. Great live music. Good was delicious and one of the best pub meals I’ve had. The seating was gorgeous and rustic and holds many community memories. A great place for people to get together.

We stopped in here for lunch as we were on our way camping. Heard the food was good but I wasnt particularly hungry. My partner was though, and being vegetarian, he ordered the Hallumi Burger at $18. It was to be an extra $3 if he wanted some chips. I said, lets get the $10 chips and you can have some of those.His burger took a while to come (it wasn't busy) and quite honesty, it was pathetic. A bun with 2 x thin slices of grilled hallumi and some iceburg lettice. $18 for that!!! I was glad I chose the chips.Yes, he should have taken it back but then we would have had to wait ages for something else to come out...we wanted to get to our camp site. Thank god for the $10 chips :)Great looking pub but not sure why people rave about the food.

Very courteous and helpful on phone contact. Respectfully welcomed by management and staff & considerate of our needs. Great country local feel and friendly atmosphere and inviting. The meal was great and enjoyed. Loved the atmosphere of everyone having a great time. The locals are wonderful. Was awesome to rock up & live music playing. Loved the set up of the pub & the Queenslander style structure & with its spacious sitting areas indoor and outdoor and able to watch footy.
