Wattcost

Super early backer since 2014.Reconfirmed my commitment in 2017.While things can go wrong the comms from Wattcost has been one of the worst I have ever encountered.Given atrocious lack of updates, I'm writing this off as vapourware with hope I can get a full refund.

It's a scam. Invested in 2017 and have not heard from them since. I have emailed them repeatedly for a refund, but it goes no where. Best to avoid.The worst part is their website is still up, and still taking people's money.

I also have paid for this product in full - so long ago I can't remember when. I just remember the money leaving my account. There hasn't been much if any communication, and I am disappointed that I was charged for a product so long before it was able to be delivered.

'Pre-ordered' back in May 2021. After months of no updates I contacted wattcost and was told Christmas 2021 due to covid delays and supply issues.I waited patiently and after several more attempts to contact for an update with no response I then demanded a refund with again no response. Will be taking further.

I paid for this product in full in October 2017 on the understanding that it would be shipped in 2018. Since then there has been minimal communication and constant delays. Now that I have asked for a refund, I have had no response. Now I have no need for the product as I have had PowerPal installed free under government subsidy. Worst crowdfunding project I have supported. Avoid!Follow-up: After I wrote this review, the company got in contact and refunded in full. I was also asked to retract my review, which I'm not entirely happy with. I've raised my rating from 1 star on the basis of being refunded, but I don't think this is a great way to treat the customers who crowdfunded this product.

Please order way back in 2017. I haven't heard from them in last few years. Sent email last Monday ( 1st May 23 ) for cancelling my order and process refund. Still no reply. Is this a fraud?

Would really love to give you guys 5 Stars. But after giving you my hard earned cash to assist in funding the product 3-4 years ago, the lack of communication In the last 12 months is annoying. I’ve had a total of Zero pieces of communication from you since Feb 2020. That’s not the way to treat those people who took a gamble and supported your dream.I’d be delighted to change this to a 5 Star review. But with no product in my hands, and no communication for over a year, I think I’m being generous with 2 Stars.Over to you!

Like all other genuine reviewers here I add my disappointment to the way this company conducts its business. Many people encounter delays. But I can’t shake the feeling I’ve been scammed. I did the early bird thing in 2017. Zero updates from Wattcost since an email in 2020. If these guys were a genuine startup I wouldn’t be wondering for years what’s happening. Communication is terrible. I presume this is a dead duck. Stay away. Website should be taken down to prevent further customers being taken for a ride.

I am sincerely disappointed with Wattcost. After believing in this start up and putting our hard earned money behind the company and their product, I had expectations of a wonderfully designed, innovative and Australian made product, just as the Wattcost team purport on their website. But instead, I feel truly let down. There has been no update on the Wattcost website regarding their development/production progress to their faithful supporters since February 2020! We have all felt the effects of Covid 19, however this lack of communication to their supporters is extremely poor and no excuse in my opinion. The lack of communication and commitment to their supporters has got to the point that I have become very despondent with Wattcost and have requested my money back. I have been emailing the support email address and phoning the Sydney office requesting my money back since the 22nd of June. To this point, SILENCE….I have not had a response. I am now very concerned that Wattcost will not fulfill their promise or refund my money.

Wattcost is not legit.Have been promising a product since at least mid 2015. Now, latest update.........end of 2023. More excuses than a politician.
