Quite a lovely spot, plenty of facilities to make for a great picnic or just a casual walk. Area is quaint and beautifullly maintained with plenty of spots and outlooks to get a great view.

So serene and quiet, close to nature. Plenty of picnic area, there is a indoor BBQ with hot and cold water system. A play ground for the kids at the entrance. Definitely worth a visit.

Nepean Dam
Beautiful place for a family picnic or even for a romantic walk. Great for tourists. Went on a nice sunny day in April and it was perfect place to spend the day with kids and friends. Beautiful blue waters and hills around it... what else do we need. You can even smell the water (in a good way)... its approx. 1 hr drive from Sydney.. so not very far

A lovely clean and tidy area where you can enjoy a short walk across the top of the dam, or enjoy a picnic at one of the many picnic areas.Like many dams across the country, the areas surrounding it are open to the public. The grounds around Nepean Dam include many different picnic areas.Across the other side of the dam from the carpark, you can look out across the lake and take in the scenery and imagine what the landscape would have looked like before the dam was constructed. You may even be lucky enough to see the spillway in use, this would only occur when the dam is full - you can check the dam level on the website.

One of the best water dams in NSW. Surrounded by natural beauty, picnic area, kids play zone, BBQ facilities, toilets everything you could ask for free!

Nepean Dam
Great place to have a gathering. Huge undercover areas with lots of seating. The amenities were exceptionally clean. Went for a walk down to the Dam itself. Certainly worth the walk although you can drive the 700 metres from where we were gathered.

Beautiful marvel of engineering. Great views. If you visit in Spring, will be able to see the whole place covered with yellow flowers. There are a few picnic areas on the way. Seems all of them has gas BBQ and toilets. Don’t forget to visit the Avon dam as well, which is nearby.
