Palm Royale Cairns

The advantages and disadvantages of this hotel are very obvious. First of all, let's talk about the advantages: the hotel has a very beautiful swimming pool, and the landscape design is also very beautiful, and it matches the swimming pool very well. The room is also warmly. Some staff have a nice attitude.Then are the disadvantages: if you live near the road, congratulations, you will be woken up early in the morning, and only at night can you get a moment of peace. It's really noisy! Let people not get a good rest! So I suggest you don't live in those rooms near the road! If you have the misfortune to live there and want to change to a quiet room, don't meet a female receptionist who is very impolite and has no service attitude at all. Only one or two men have a good service attitude. And because of the weather, there are often ants in the room, and some rooms have geckos. Please enjoy the time with small animals. Plus, the location of their home is very remote, and there are few service facilities around.In general, there are still some points should be improved.

Great Overall experience. Sadly, the Hotel is located quite far from where you want to be in cairns, so it will take you some time to get where you want to be. The pools were very nice and clean, which can also be said about the room as well.

Positives: very clean. And relatively cheap. Helpful staff.Negatives:*Property is old. When the person next door uses their bathroom, my plumbing rattles.* Not enough shelves for clothes, I had to live out of my suitcase.* It's far away from everything except Raintree shopping centre next door. So you'll either need a car or use taxi or ride share or get picked up for everything.

Rooms are clean but very standard and unfortunately the hotel is located in an area that isn't close to anything and not somewhere you want to be walking around at night. The outdoor area and the pool is absolutely lovely though.

Beautiful place to stay. Staff couldn't do more to welcome us. They were amazing. Pool is beautiful.

Nice view on the pool, great water, very good housekeeping. We had in the first room a great air con. In the second just generally that was bad. Can be louder. I’m sensitive with noise, would still recommend this Hotel.

Rooms were ok, pool was great and the location is ok but local Mei our hood is a bit run down. Such a shame that the hotel has no restaurants or bars which appear to have been there previously but sadly are no more.

Excellent value for money if you have your own car.Pros: Nice large rooms, very nice bathroom, good aspect around a palm lined swimming pool, clean, 24 hour reception, great WiFi.Cons: One hour walk from central Cairns, no breakfast or restaurant, traffic noise and a noisy air conditioner.

The hotel is nice looking but the drinking glasses were very dirty and there are a lot of ants in the room. When I pointed this out they said “that’s how it is in Cairns”.The receptionists don’t greed you when they see you and they look like they don’t wanna be here.The hotel is far from the city and public transport is terrible. We used Uber to and from the city which is $15 AUD each way.The pool was nice tho.On their website it says 4 star hotel but unfortunately you don’t feel that.I would not recommend it.

this hotel is an old gem with 2 pools, daily room services. spacious room, fan and AC. bit far from the city, but just across a shopping mall. we didn't mind staying far from the city.
