Good campground away from the crowds but not near any of the main attractions of the Warrambungles. Road in was easy as when we visited in dry weather, could get a Corolla in there.

Quiet, secluded and with only 6 camps, plenty of room as to not camp next to each other...recommended.Take backroad from the Montainview Pub, need clearance under vehicle, and ask a local before you go so you don't miss crossover to main road. Don't go past the small dam right on the track,,,

This is the most remote and smallest of the camps in Warrumbungle NP. Only 6 sites can be booked and this leaves plenty of space between groups. Sites are unmarked and there are ample options. A single drop toilet and rain water tank sit near the clearing entrance. On the opposite side of the dirt track is a popular location to pitch. Also try following the track to the end where another large clearing offers flat ground. In April-2022, the maintenance track leading north to Burbie camp was closed to vehicles. This is a short cut into the main part of the NP and the walking trails. The closure means that the only way to the these is via the road —a circuitous 30min drive. This is something to check and consider before you book a site—you’re trading off privacy and quiet against convenience of access. Lastly, there is a little wildlife at the campsite—kangaroos visited at dawn and appear along the dirt track into camp. Goats and birds can also be heard. These are also plentiful within the NP—kangaroos can be found grazing near the visitor centre and goannas walk around the larger campsites. So, you’re not going to miss out.

Well maintained, clean, single toilet & rain water tank. About 10km from main road - 7km along gravel road, then from gate about 3km National Park track. Beautiful and quiet. Quite far from ‘main’ entrance to Warrumbungle National Park (45min drive) so tricky to access walks/hikes from this campground, but still very enjoyable. Wonderful starry nights (when clear). Sighted a wild pig, wallabies and a Spotted Black Snake (on access dirt road)

Great seclueded campsite, there are toilets and tannin coloured tank water. Not much wildlife or birds. Good bushwalking for experienced walkers as there are no official" walking tracks."

Excellent secluded and quiet spot. Saw and heard tonnes of birds. Other campers were quiet and respectful. Incredible night sky. Clear water in the creek. This was a really peaceful place to stay.

Great spot, few good flat areas, crystal clear river and decent access. We were there on quite a wet weekend and we got in and out without an issue (4x4) . Didn't get to experience the night sky due to the cloud cover but sitting around the fire and walking along the river was great. Not a huge amount of wild life, seen 1 wallaby and minimal birds. There was only a portaloo available which wasn't in the best of shape, big crack in the roof so got quite wet during the rain. Otherwise, loved the seclusion.
