I been admitted in this hospital, I have kidney stone procedure and lot scan been done. I paid my excess. I checked with insurance company am I cover they said yes, after procedure I was receiving SkG radiology bills and clinal lab bills even I was inpatient ( written on invoice ). I called hospital , insurance , SKG. I found hospital hire outsourced radiology and lab. Which is funny thing. They can charge whatever they want no other choice you have . As hospital staff I have no problem , great staff thank you for that but not happy at all. I like to suggest everyone before you go make sure how much you have pay for out of pocket. You might end up thousands of $$$$.

We took my mum there in emergency. ED staff were good but ED doctor was condescending - forcefully suggestig we take her to Hollywood hospital despite me explaining why we couldn't. Mum was then transferred to SJOG inpatient wards. First ward was good. She was then taken to another ward (St Emilies). The horror started then as the doctor in-charge tried to push her out ASAP. Nurses were stretched thin and couldn't provide the required care. She went home 3 days later and then her asthma/breathing relapsed. We had to call in an ambulance and they took her to Hollywood hospital where she received much better care.

I waited in plastic triage chair outside ED from 6.30pm to 1am in December for an admission despite a letter from St John Urgent Care requesting that I be admitted for IV antibiotics for a serious skin injury. I then waited another 3 hours until they found a ward that could take me.On the second night I was given antibiotics as a syringe dose instead of a slow machine drip. All previous 4 hourly administrations of the antibiotics were via a machine over 30 - 60 minutes. Intense pain was followed by thrombophlebitis and the later discovery of a 13cm blood clot. According to the hospital investigation" the nurse acted "within protocols" and did nothing wrong - despite giving me the drug in a totally different manner to all previous nursing care. I am appalled by the lack of transparency in the subsequent investigation and look forward to an investigation by AHPRA. SJOG management appear to be caring then want a disclaimer signed for any reimbursement of costs so far

Disgusting, atrocious treatment from hospital staff towards our family from the Thomas Furlong nursing team and Senior Social Worker . My 76 year old Indigenous father who Is Vietnam Veteran, has been hospitalised for one month and is terminally ill, refused calls and visit from children, grandchildren, family and friends at the direction of the non-Indigenous carer. The hospital have no regard for the Reconciliation Action Plan RAP on their website. Our father will die alone.

My husband needed to have surgery as a Day Stay patient. It would be a 3 year wait at a public hospital or if we paid to go private, he could have the surgery within 2 weeks! Fortunately, we had just enough in savings to cover him going to a private hospital. The care given at SJOG Murdoch was exceptional from start to finish. The money needs to be paid upfront if you are uninsured (my husband is on a Disability Pension) but the treatment received was well worth it.

I recently had the privilege of being cared for by the amazing nurse, Aisha, during my stay in the Thomas Furlong ward. I am truly grateful for her exceptional qualities and unwavering dedication. From the moment she walked into my room, her great and caring demeanour, positive attitude, and ever-present smile instantly brightened my day.Aisha's remarkable bedside manner and communication skills played a pivotal role in making my stay more enjoyable. Her ability to connect on a personal level and make me feel heard and understood was truly extraordinary. Her excellent communication style fostered a sense of trust and confidence, as her positive attitude radiated from her every interaction. She consistently greeted me with a warm smile and a kind word. Her positive energy was contagious!I cannot recommend nurse Aisha highly enough. Her exceptional care, positive attitude, excellent bedside manner, and outstanding communication skills made my hospital stay an experience filled with comfort and reassurance. She is a true professional who goes above and beyond for her patients, and her commitment to delivering top-notch care is commendable. Nurse Aisha deserves nothing less than a glowing five-star rating for her remarkable service and compassionate approach. Thank you, Nurse Aisha, for being an extraordinary healthcare provider and for making a positive difference in my journey toward recovery.

Presented with severe abdominal pain due to an already diagnosed miscarriage. 3 hours later was taken in, the dr was extremely condescending and would not listen to me. Was sent for an ultrasound, the tech confirmed no heartbeat and baby was still measuring at the same dates from two weeks prior. Dr told me “I just got my dates wrong and it’s probably early pregnancy despite no heartbeat” when I tried to explain that there was a heart beat two weeks and baby has not grown in that two weeks. She shrugged and said “that she didn’t see it so it didn’t exist and that I was probably seeing my own blood flow” even though I clearly stated the tech showed us. She was not interested or empathetic in any way. Very cold. Told me to go home and manage with Panadol. And to come back when I start bleeding. By her logic and dates, baby would have had to been conceived on the day I got the positive pregnancy test. How very cruel to give a patient false hope all the while totally ignoring them. I was spoken down too and there was not a shred of kindness. All the nurses where wonderful and same with the ultrasound tech. Just this one doctor who was so callous.*UPDATE* I went to the public hospital Fiona Stanley on the Monday and I had to have surgery the following morning. As I was showing signs of infection. They were kind, compassionate and efficient. Nothing like St John of god doctor. So note to that St John doctor. Maybe from now on in, it’s worth listening to your patient and reading the paperwork from her drs…. You could of saved me a weekend in pain and a developing infection if you had only taken the time to listen and review all paperwork.

I have just returned home after knee replacement surgery at Murdock. I have to say it was a pleasant experience after some of the places my wife has been in recently. The food is excellent and is run on a room service sysytem were you ring up and order what you want and they deliver just like a hotel. They have a very extensive menu that would satisfy the most discering of patients. The nursing staff on St Francis ward were very kind and efficient and I would thoroughly recommend this hospital.

My name is Alicia Bordes..I had surgery on 11/8/21. I was under the care of Dr Bhandari and his team. I needed to remove a big cyst from my liver which was causing me a lot a pain.Since my first meeting with Dr Bhandari to discuss my options he was patient with me , he answered all of my questions and took his time to explain everything that I needed to know before the procedure until the surgery date. every person that looked after me like Susan,Carmel, Ro, Issy...they were the peoples names I remember. they made feel safe and I was in very good hand..I stayed for one night in the hospital and the attention I received was more than 5 stars..I want to say a big thank you to the whole team that made my experience at St John of God an amazing one..
