Great spot for a wedding functions, beds, bathrooms, kitchen, plenty of of tables, chairs, bar area, plenty of car parks all at reasonable price. Must take own food and drinks or arrange for catering. The guy that owns the place is very friendly and helpful. NOT SURE IF STILL OPEN.

Well set up, maintained and kept.Whether your event is for the day or a few days you will not be disappointed.Had a great time there and planning another weekend getaway.

We are getting married June 5, 2021 and been looking for a venue.We found Sticks and Stones Hideaway First week of May 2020 and fell in love with the place straight away. But our wedding date is not available and the owner Pete give us an option of May 8 or May 22 for availability.Luckily our photographer and Celebrant are available on 8th of May so we decided to move our wedding to that date. We transfer the deposit the next day to secure the date.(May15,2020)I organised everything from caterers,wedding decorators, make up artist and everything that we needed for the day and made deposit/ payment.All is planned, placed in order and we are very excited waiting for our day.(Except a bit stressful due to covid)Until last month i saw a lady posted in the page looking for a decorator for her wedding at Sticks&Stones on the same date of our wedding.I rang Pete straight away to let him know just in case he accepted another booking for our day.Took 2 weeks of waiting of no answer until he messaged me if we can move the wedding date and i said we can’t as everything has been booked now. We did not hear anything from him until i decided to ring him today and he said i need to change our wedding date.For few weeks now I’ve been thinking that the other lady must’ve booked the place way before us. That maybe they meant to get married this year and just moved to next year due to covid.It’s a bit easy to accept and let go of the place if the situation is like that.I totally understand and without ranting i will move on without any word.But after talking to the owner of Sticks&Stones today(Pete) he said he just decided to give the place to the other people. Who cares who paid the deposit first? He yell at me saying” I decided to give the place to the other person”! And hang up! Won’t answer the phone after that.7 months before the wedding and this freak just kick us out of our wedding venue, no apologies or not even feeling sorry for double booking us.Very unprofessional!My heart is broken and we are very upset right now.It’s a beautiful place but the owner is disgusting!
