YHA Alice Springs

Good facilities and atmosphere, but seemed to be a lot of noise each morning prior to sunrise.

Could use better Aircon but for the price I'm honestly not that bothered. There are 4 windows in the room and a fan so I lived (it's the middle of summer now). I think it's cool they play movies at night on a projector. Location is great and I felt extremely safe.

Very nice hostel and wonderful people working there. It can get cold in the room at night around this time of the year, so don't be shy to ask for a heater (they are available!).I had a great time in Alice Springs and on my camping trip. I would recommend that you definitely come to this spot on earth to see for yourself how great it is. Thanks again YHA Alice Springs!

Anna is such an incredible person. She made the stay positive from the off. She also helped me with my tour issue, even though she didn't need to. The facilities are excellent and the hostel is in a good location. Can only say good things.

Decent hostel with everything necessary. Seems to be a hostel for more mature travelers which is okay. Can be boring most of the times with quiet nights and not a lot to do during the day.**Do not go out at night** dangerous town with stabbings and violence occurring often. There are tensions between Aboriginals and visitors/other Australians. Some people got beer cans thrown at them or yelled at in the streets.I suggest staying for a maximum of 3 days then get out of there. It's just enough to visit Uluru and maybe the local desert park. Overall not much to do around + dangerous city with high crime rate and cultural tensions.

This review comes from a hostel first timer. In a central location in Alice Springs, this hostel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, accomodating of our request to check out a tad late and the open air movie night was excellent. They have a pool and good showers. Would recommend

Loved my four night stay here between trips on The Ghan. The woman on reception was very friendly and helpful. Inside there was a courtyard and pool, with a movie shown each night. Very few people watched.My room, a private double, was pretty spacious, the bed was comfortable and there was a wee table and two chairs. WiFi worked flawlessly. Shared toilet and showers seemed OK, didn't really go into the kitchen and TV room.The location is great, on the edge of Todd Mall, about half way up, and beside the path to the Telegraph station.

I had the most amazing time here. Anna is so lovely and helpful. I planned to stay only 1 night and do the Uluṟu tour. I ended up staying 3 nights. She always had a smile and said hi and how are you.The people staying were friendly and let me tell you. That pool!!! Omg it saved my lifeMy dorm was clean and neat. All the facilities were tidy as wellWould highly recommend if you wanting to stay in Alice Springs

basic hostel but made to feel very welcome & safe. Rooms were spacious, I booked a 6 bed room and only shared with 1 other person for the 4 nights. great location too.Kitchen and communal area are dated but not a big deal. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean.
