I have been to this place in the last 10 years with all our cars. Customer service is great and Dan has a good knowledge of his job.

I've taken my LandCruiser here since being back in Perth and extremely happy with the service, no surprises on pickup and plenty of information about the vehicle.Great service, prices and workmanship, trustworthy mechanic service that is highly recommend.

I approached Canning Automotive to have my low beams replaced with LEDs and my brake pads replaced. After quoting me above average (got 3 quotes) I decided to proceed as they could do it within my timeframes.The low beams stopped working after 5 months. I went back to them and an absolute nightmare ensued. I had to go back 9 times over the next 2 months, as they never managed to fix the issue and kept rebooking me. They barely did anything to help, dismissing it as a small issue and seemed completely oblivious to how careless and arrogant they came off as. Meanwhile I was unable to use the car at night. Their professionalism lacked in every aspect: inconsistent communication, blaming other staff members, stuffing booking dates etc. They ended up putting halogens back in and completely sabotaged the job, with a beam pattern so poor that driving at night was made impossible. They refused to refund me the full amount I had paid for the LEDs, as all their fluffing around had “cost them”. I ended up going to another mechanic last week and the issue was resolved on the same day. The mechanic who fixed my beams also told me that my brake pads where misaligned (explains the screeching) and had to be re-serviced. The pads were replaced less than 6000 kms ago so I’ve no doubt that Canning Automotive have stuffed up there as well.This garage is dangerously unprofessional. I urge others not to risk using them and instead get their vehicles serviced elsewhere.EDIT (in response to the owner) — In what way is my review not honest or is my story not quite “right”? You said I had 2 different brand lights in my car but you knew that, not me (you’re a professional, remember?) and you still gladly took my money for a job you completely botched. Amazing how you’re not embarrassed and still try to justify your position.As for the brakes, I didn’t mention it as there was no chance in hell I’d get you to redo them, I’d be at your garage for another year of stupidity. I’m not surprised your team didn’t pick up on the screech either, but the reason it’s relevant is because it’s a job you did and did poorly, again.I was a happy customer with my first services and I’d be content to keep booking my cars at yours, smile, nod and pay - as I did. But since you were hell bent on saving $50 in all that drama, you lose all my business; a steady stream of $ over the years. Think about that the next time you think of doing the same thing.

Daniel and his team are always on the ball and willing to help with any issue. Very knowledgeable across all makes of cars, highly recommend.

Completely 5 stars deserved for the service I’ve received from the help on the phone with Dan calling us back to help when we were hours away. I promised I would have my car & caravan serviced when we got to Perth and I left having the best experience from a mechanic ever!!!

Having tried multiple mechanics and receiving un unlucky amount of horrific jobs on my first car, of which some could have easily blown my engine and cost me my life, a fellow Landcruiser owner sent me to Daniel. Rather than coming to me with a large bill of completed jobs, Daniel, Nick and the other boys got my car running right, but recognized my willingness to fix smaller issues myself. Not only did Daniel walk me through with each of my car’s faults, he helped me gain a better understanding of it to maintain it myself. I owe the boys many hours in diagnostic work for which I was not charged and the trust I get from Daniel cannot be touched by any repairer I have seen. Went above and beyond to replace my clutch coming in at 6am before opening. The list goes on. If you’re over getting screwed over, call CA now! Cheers

Daniel and the team are always so helpful and friendly. As a young female who has minimal knowledge on cars, I am always so trusting in their knowledge and recommendations. The communication is fantastic and the pricing is exceptional. I cannot recommend these guys enough; I will always come back here!

Daniel and his team are very knowledgeable and helpful. They went above and beyond on my 80 series cruiser, communication was great and kept me in the loop throughout the job. Definitely will be back.

Been seeing these guys for years. They are awesome. Their prices are good for the quality of service, they are friendly and my car has never had any mechanical issues when driving as they stay on top of everything. They are one of the few mechanics I know who won't rip you off. As a young female who knows nothing about cars, I tell people about these guys and they are surprised at how honest and reliable they are. If you want a new mechanic, go here. Daniel is a legend.
