I debated writing this review but I feel as all the reviews on the website are positive I need to caution some dog owners.Overall I was disappointed with the training experience. Whilst John was pleasant, I felt very uncomfortable with the methods of training and I wished I had known this before booking (I assumed as I was told not to feed my dog that reward based training would be used.) The root cause of my dog's behavior was not really addressed, and training methods focused on scare tactics and dominance. If you have trained your dog using positive reinforcement training I would suggest looking elsewhere, especially for the cost of this service.

What can I say about John? Honestly, he is the absolute best in the business. A true dog whisperer. This is the second time using John for our Blue Heelers. He has helped us to understand our dogs and integrate them into our family in the most positive, rewarding way. Our 11 week old puppy confidently walks right by my side, doesn't jump, nip or misbehave whatsoever after one session with him. My children are respected by both dogs, and we have established a wonderful, healthy relationship with our dog by following Johns methods.I wouldn't listen to the negative review here. John is awesome. Usually misbehaviour is a result of struggling to put boundaries in place, or who owners humanise their dogs, and perhaps there were a few hard truths there, hence the negativity.Thank you John - you are amazing

John is a miracle worker! Clear directions that we could easily implement and stopped our dog barking at our baby in one day! Pup is much happier having boundaries and understanding what we want from him too. I can’t recommend John highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate going to him again in the future. Effective, efficient, just terrific.

We called on John's services after our dog unexpectedly snapped at a child. He came to our house for a 90 min session, firstly to talk to us about the dog, then to observe the dog 'in action'. His advice was all very sensible and logical (providing safe places when kids are around; not letting dog take food from their hands; etc) and we have made several changes to our routine and house set-up as a result.We also explored other minor behaviour challenges such as the dog lagging a long way behind us on our daily walks with her head down. John witnessed this and told us she looked bored with the same old walk everyday. We changed up our walk routes for the rest of the week and immediately the dog has become more enthusiastic about walking with us.Ultimately you are paying for a consultancy service from somebody who has a deep understanding of dogs and their psychology. Not cheap but even if only 50% of what he advises works, it is still well worth it to iron out those nagging problems with your furry friend.

Dean was very knowledgeable and helped me feel like I knew what I was doing even though it was my first time having a pet. Definitely money well-spent as he set us up with healthy and sustainable boundaries that would help our puppy become a joyful addition to our family. He also checked in with us after the session and was genuinely interested in how we were going with our puppy. Thanks Dean!

An experienced legend.Can't speak highly enough of Johns ability to connect with our little lab x kelpie.Kips learning was to our surprise - instant.We as dog handlers had & have plenty of learning to do.Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us John.

Wow.John came to my house today and worked with my recent rescue(A 5 year old StaffyXRottweiller with separation anxiety...Bye bye TV)Turns out you can teach a dog new things.As a first time dog owner, theres no end of questions i had...John had an answer and a solution to all of my problems and issues.Clearly his experience is worth the monetary value, not only did he help me and Buddy today he explained that any more questions queries etc, do not hesitate to call.A mention also to Robyn on the end of the phone who clearly knows the business and makes the logistics very easy.A true professional and all round great guy.Thank you once again John!

Thank you thank you thank you!A truly life changing experience for both our rescue dog Charlie & family.From my first call with Robyn I was supported & guided immeasurably, I cannot thank her enough.John is an absolute legend, a wonderful human who has the ability to calm a room and connect with you immediately.Charlie had zero experience with the outside world and taking him for a walk was simply beyond stressful for everyone involved, including passers by!After just 30 mins John had Charlie walking calmly, sitting comfortably, watching the dogs go bye... Charlie returned home to us after the walk a different dog and my husband the same. The stress was removed and a greater understanding replaced it.90 mins with John has simply changed all of our lives for the greater good.Johns knowledge, technique & pure love of dogs is simply priceless. We had Jon come to train little Alfie a feisty Mini Schnauzer and we were amazed with the results. He was able to quickly identify the dogs nature and the issues that required attention. Methods were clear and very practical and easy for the family to follow, even down to the appropriate treats & toys.I think that one of the most valuable parts of the training was that Jon trained the whole family on how to provide consistent and clear direction to Alfie. This meant that after the training we were all capable and could maintain consistent approach to the training. Our 2 girls felt very comfortable with Jon's coaching and enjoyed the training.We are now able to enjoy our little pooch and he is much happier also,I would definitely recommend. Craig
