Our Vet Tuggeranong

2 years ago I started taking our beautiful Panther to the team having just, suddenly adopted him as a retired guide dog, aged 10.As a service dog for his whole life, he had a tough and thankless life, particularly as his ward had advanced dementia for a number of years.When Panther came into our care I wanted to have a health check, particularly as an aging dog who had outlasted his predecessors.The wonderful team at Our Vet, Tuggeranong have always been with us with socialising this beautiful boy, and helping with his health and well-being.he loves going in to see the team.Thank you all.Panther is doing incredibly well with your help

We visited recently and were taken with a little foster cat at Best Friends. We were seriously considering adopting her. Upon approaching the vet counter to request to meet her, we were abruptly told we weren't allowed to. I was surprised as we have adopted from this same vet twice previously. I asked to speak to a vet to see if we could set up a consultation to meet the kitten. The vet who came out initially told me she had left surgery to assist me (????) and then, just as abruptly and as rude as the receptionist advised me there was no way we could meet the kitten and if we wanted to do that we'd have to take her for the initial 2 week trial. I found this completely irresponsible, to let people take an animal without having at least one meeting to ensure there was a connection. It baffles me that they would not even book a consultation which we were happy to pay for, to allow us to meet the kitten. We didn't feel comfortable taking her without meeting her, so decided to let it go. Overall we left feeling very judged and the staff were just rude, uncaring and short. Extremely unprofessional and not acting in the best interests of the animal.

My Leona was treated by the best team possible.The vets were clear about the problem and the procedure. Norell performed the surgery and Jane was very caring in regard to the effect of Leona’s situation.Clear and detail explanation for after surgery care. Follow up visit/s to make sure that my dear dog was fine and there is no complication.Extremely wonderful and professional nurses Sean Shani and Jess who always been kind and caring patiently explaining the details of after surgery care.I appreciate the wonderful staff and amazing vets who have been with me through my pets happy and sad times. Couldn't have wished for a better team.

No care for the welfare of the animal all about the money. Happy to let your animal suffer until they see the $ signs. No wonder best friends have gone broke and been bought out by pet stock. I would not recommend taking your furry family members here especially if they are extremely ill.EDIT:Was told my mum's dog was bitten by a snake. $1500 for the test plus ant-venum. He has now spent the night in the ED and they are saying it's not a snake bite at all but possible tick or poison. How can you get that wrong with blood tests? $1500 that could have been spent on actually getting him better.

The vet I saw was caring and kind with my anxious dog, which helped him have the most positive experience with a vet visit in a long time.

Very thorough vet. Still working through stuff but they were helpful and quite proactive with ideas. Very happy.

Our dog was very sick and we made the decision to have him put down,it's a very hard decision to make but ,The staff were amazing talked us through the process didn't rush us they were very kind and sympathetic...we are very grateful for their profession.Thank you so much !We will miss our boy Wilson very much but know he is in a better place now..

They sent my cat home fatally Ill. “little man is feeling much better and on the mend”. He was sent home and died! And the vet seems to think her nurses would never have said that! They missed something but believe they provided adequate care. He died a painful horrible death. After all those tests and permission to do what needed to help him. At the very least he could have died with dignity and be put down. Wrongful death and doesn’t believe they missed anything. Go back and look over the tests, something seriously wrong was missed! I should have been told to transfer him direct to the emergency vet after they closed. Can’t trust the people we pay to help our animals. Absolutely heart broken on how he suffered. If I could give 0 I would!

I have been using Our Vets Tuggeranong for a number of years now. Narelle and her team always go above and beyond with treatment of all our pets. They are personable, caring and so gentle every visit. Could not recommend highly enough.
