Energy Connections

I can't speak highly enough of Energy Connections. I had an issue with a Solar Controller and after working through many steps to solve the issue, it lead to a warranty claim. I thank Alan sincerely for his assistance to resolve the issue and hence the claim. I highly recommend these guys and I look forward in purchasing from them in the future. Thank you.

We had energy connections supply us with a solar system. The service was appalling. It took months to have it fully installed with the appointments missed. My husband had to constantly follow up what was going on. A number of times workers would just turn up to the house without any contact to do some work. We had issues with the installation and to this day are still having issues with the way it has been set up. Each time we request they come and correct it we are fobbed off. Our bills are no cheaper than when we first installed the system (inverter, batteries and solar). They installed different inferior equipment than what had been quoted. Difficult to get hold of. Difficult to have things corrected.

We had a 15 year old off-grid solar power system that needed upgrading. Other suppliers were only prepared to do a complete new system but recommend Energy Connections to do a partial upgrade.We found Ian and his team of Lenny and Chris to be adaptive, honest and professional, with excellent communication. We ended up with the system we wanted and the possibility to upgrade further at half the cost of a full new system.Would highly recommend their business.

Purchased 2 inverters and a controll unit in 2019. Excellent guidance on installation and after 3 yrs a minor higch that was sorted out over the phone. A genuine company that backs its sales with service. Thanks

This is a 5 star outfit. I worked on the team from 2010-2013 alongside Ian and his install team both in the shop and on the rooftops. You would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable individual regarding hybrid and off grid solar systems. The amount of effort that goes in behind the scenes is next level, and even all these years later I still have good memories of this company.Take any 1 star reviews with a grain of salt, people with gripes often overlook the good, even when it far outweighs the bad.

Ian and his team designed and installed a 15 kw off grid stand alone system for my property and holiday rental accommodation Andersons Eco Retreat" in the Dandenong ranges. Both my wife and I could not be more pleased with the outcome and we would highly recommend Energy connections."

Ian and his team installed a full bespoke battery back-up system for us and it all went smoothly. We had problems with the system not switching across to the battery system when we had a power cut. This went on for several months while Ian and his team tirelessly isolated every issue and problem in the house. Trust me, there is a lot of wiring in modern houses and each cable needed to be checked and isolated and then rechecked. I live on a farm, so they looked at every connection to the sheds, and basically rewired a large part of my house...and at absolutely no cost.They did this with good grace and without any complaint and are the most professional solar installers I have had the pleasure of dealing with (and I have dealt with a few). I am sorry, but I simply do not recognise some of the complaints made by other people. Energy connections could not do enough for us and Ian checks in from time-to-time to make sure it is all working.They did not install my solar panels, but when one burnt out they came and checked them and all of the connections and removed the faulty panel (and a burnt out connector) so the system would work again (fabulous job and at very short notice). The panel is under warranty and I have been waiting 8 weeks for the other solar provider to replace a single panel. Energy connections could have resolved this in a week.I will definitely be using Energy Connections again, when we increase our battery capacity and put more solar panels on the roof. I have no complaints and cannot recommend them highly enough. The after care service is exceptional for a small company. If you are looking for an excellent service and a caring company I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This review has been delayed by the COVID19 pandemic; however the fact that, six months later we are still highly impressed by the quality of the work, advice, professionalism and responsiveness of Ian and his team is a testament to their excellence.Our 10 year old lead-acid gel batteries in the off-grid system (in South Gippsland) were reaching the end of their useful life and Energy Connections provided the best advice and price for an upgrade to LIFe replacements. Other companies in our local area, whilst satisfactory, did not come up to the mark.The work was efficiently carried out, old batteries removed, inverter and regulator reprogrammed without any trouble, and the new batteries have performed better than expected.We highly recommend Energy Connections and would ask them to provide their services again. Thank you!!!
