Great service, Polite and professional staff and reasonable price.

I went there to ask if they could alter a dress for me to add sleeves. Instead, they told me, you'll need to buy the same material" I responded whether they buy the materials (I do not know how this works

I wish this review could be better but unfortunately I have nothing good to say about the Mackay Caneland store.I went into the store earlier this week and enquired about getting my wedding dress and my partners suite pants taken up. I was told to come back in with the garments at the end of the week (no day was specified). I travelled into town again later that week with the garments as instructed and arrived at 9am to find the store closed. I waited 20 minutes before someone finally showed, only to be told (quite rudely) that there was no dressmaker working today and that is was not a good day to show up. I asked if I could book in but was told no, I could just show up Monday morning and that a note would be left for the dressmaker. Roll on Monday morning, my partner and I travel into town, its 9.20am when we show up and guess what, its closed again! We wait 15 minutes but the place is still shut up, even though opening hours are 9am. This is the 3rd time I have attempted to get some kind of service from this store and taken time out of my day to travel there because they have 5* reviews. We got fed up waiting and left. Can't say i'll be wasting my time with them again.

I just picked my dress up and it has been mangled. They have caused damage to a brand new formal dress, which they tried to hide. The alterations were horrible. The employee even said that it look disgusting and admitted that nothing was measured. Without asking, the sleeves were cut and unpicked while I was wearing it. The cost of these alterations were ridiculous, but I was happy to pay if it meant that it would be done properly. Do not take anything to this shop.

I was extremely happy with the service provided by Sue today! I showed her a fault in a brand new shirt I had purchased for my daughter. She surpassed my expectations and mended it on the spot! Thanku

Recently to my suprise, i had the pleasure of coming to looksmart Mackay. My partner and I had my Daughter's wedding to attend and had traveled from Perth. We had two hrs to get to the wedding and alter my husbands pants. Thanks to Michelle for her speedy and efficient sewing,, they were done within the hour. We made our prior commitments. It was a very special day. Which we could of missed.. Michelle friendly nature was a pleasure to be around. Thanks Michelle for helping get to our Daughters wedding. We could not have done it withour your knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend this store for thier high standard in custimer service and clothing alterations.Carol Savage.

Rude & blunt young lady… no hello… they were to busy to help me but I was told to look up google when I asked if any other tailors in town… with a blank stare for a goodbye after thanking her.

Am very disappointed the website says they do mesurments as we are looking at getting dress and costume made and need to get materials before it's made as such we need measurements. My girlfriend went into store only to get told they don't make money so why would they take measurements.... very unorofesinaly as we were quite willing to pay and even said as much and they just said we don't do that. If u don't do meaurments don't advertise on website that u do and we won't waste out time getting into store during work hours while we have lunch just to find out u don't do it when your site says u do. It's a simple road measure and we would of used your service for the alterations when our products arrived instead u have lost our business and we are now going elsewhere for our measurements and they will get paid for alterations now. Very unprofsional and will not recommend to anyone to ever go here as falsely advertising on website that they don't provide onky to get rude unorofesinaly response form store workers when we ask a simple question that narration place do everywhere.
