Excellent school with a high regard for education and well being of children. Highly impressed with the calibre and quality of teaching for our Prep aged son. Our son loves his school and as parents, we are very happy with what the school offers. We get weekly correspondence and communication from our sons teacher, so we are always aware of what he is learning. A loving, safe environment we have chosen for our sons education journey

it's a good school especially the new stem building, most teachers are nice, the students there can be a bit chatty though, and that clearly affects the teacher's moods.

Went to school here from 2003-2004 didn’t last long got bullied and picked on everyday, being asian I couldn’t stand how racist the kids were. Waste of money going here.

I have been fortunate enough to have my children attend excellent schools with outstanding teachers. Ipswich had big shoes to fill and they certainly did it!I am very impressed with the personalized approach to seeing my son achieve his best. My son is boarding and is absolutely loving it!I was very hesitant to enrol into a GPS school with the elitism attitude. But this school has great country values and a lovely community!

The best decision I ever made was to choose this school for my sons! I can (and do) highly recommend this school. My eldest son had a really bad experience at his old school. He ended up hating school and teachers, and refused to do the work (so had abysmal grades). Going into IGS, I informed his teacher of the situation and throughout the year she helped turn him around. She went above and beyond what she needed to do as a teacher, but she really loved her students and it was reciprocated. His marks went from 25% to 85% in the one year, which was no small feat for my son or his teacher! My younger son's teacher is exactly the same. The principal of the junior school is also incredibly supportive and present for all the kids. Both of my sons have blossomed at this school and are doing really well academically, and even though they aren't great at sport they are given the chance to participate -- which might be why they don't have fabulous sport teams in the junior school, because they give everyone a go and not just the good players. (that's probably saved for the senior school where it's more competitive and where it should be)All the teachers and staff have been wonderful and supportive, and what's really good is that they understand how boys learn and modify the teaching structure to suit. Which means your 6 year old son doesn't get chastised for fidgeting in class, and he's less likely to fidget because he's been moving around more throughout the day.Outcomes are not the sole responsibility of a school. You can only get out what you put in, so the student AND the parents must take partial responsibility for outcomes. There is always room for improvement, but the school provides lots of resources for a well rounded education.

Truly wonderful school. My son has loved every moment of his first rate education in this happy, supportive, encouraging environment. Without a doubt the best decision we ever made to send our son to IGS and it is our greatest desire for his younger brother to follow in his footsteps. Cannot recommend this school highly enough! Thank you to all of the amazing staff at this great school.
