Usher Tinkler Wines is amazing. It breaks rules and pushes boundaries, and still manages to deliver. Joel and Tristan were lovely, and Tristan (who did our wine tasting) really knew his wine profiling.We got the Platter #2 for 2 people and it more than sufficed as lunch. It was beautifully curated and was such a lovely addition to the wine tasting.Make sure to take a trip to Usher Tinkler wines. It's worth the trip!

I was really looking forward to coming here for the platters I heard good things about, but once here I found the platters to be very overpriced - $45 for a single piece of cheese and a few slices of a single type of meat. There is limited info about the pricing of the platters on the website, so I made the booking in good faith. A bit more transparency about pricing before people make reservations would be good.

Great place to kick off a hunter valley day trip. Personally it's the first place I try to head to in the morning, and I almost always get the snack platter and wine tasting as a combo. Really good vibes indoors and the staff are great.Easter 2023 update: the wine tasting menu has shrunk from 9 wines down to 6 and the price has crept up to $15 instead of $10. I wouldn't mind if the list stayed the same for the same price. The platter opinions have also narrowed, they used to do a really good spicy nduja as an add-on which has been stopped. What a shame!

Chill, contemporary, cool. I'm sure that this winery has the power to turn natural wine skeptics into believers. The salumi plate (with vegan options!) was the absolute highlight, along with the Viognier blend orange wine, boldly named Wine Pornography. There's so much freedom to make the whole experience unique to you. So fun!

Came here on a friend’s recommendation especially to try their cured meat & cheese board. Love the interior, which looks out to a lovely valley at the back. Price wise, it’s not cheap. Each meat & cheese item is $30, but served with a generous side of bread, crackers, homemade pickles, fruits & relish. Had the wine tasting as well for $5pp (if you buy the wine, this will be credited to the purchase). The wine’s alright, but the Mr. T’s fortified was the best of all to go with the cheese.

This cellar door is in a fabulous space being an old church building. There is a great vibe. Usher Tinkler is the wine maker and as my daughter described him, he seems to be a crazy wine genius." There are some great wines to taste and several are some very unusual blends

It was recommended by a head chef of a local restaurant when we asked if we only have time for one wine tasting but also want some cheese where should we go? The space was amazing being an old church with high cellings. The deco and vibe were warm and sophicated with great taste. Sadly we went there after 3 the cheese ane meat tasting is not available but we had a great time just doing the $10 wine tasting. Definitely will go back again earlier for the cheese and meat platter again.

Usher Tinkler offers a unique wine tasting experience that combines authenticity with innovation.Usher Tinkler is a must visit no matter how many times you visit the Hunter. Make sure you do the tasting and indulge in one of their platters. It's a perfect light lunch or something to tide you over until dinner.The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and they made sure to explain each wine to us in detail so we could appreciate its complexity. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting yet authentic wine tasting experience. Whether you're a novice or an experienced connoisseur, you're sure to find something special here! And, make sure you join their wine club - you won't be disappointed.

First time at Usher Tinkler for a wine tasting with salumi and cheese package & it was absolutely amazing, the staff were great & attentive & informative about the wines that were on show for the tasting, stunning views outside & in the rebuilt church, the wines & charcuterie were perfect together, took home a bottle of Mr. T's Fortified, definitely the go to purchase!
