Mezzaterra Illawong Restaurant
The food was lovely and there was plenty of it with great serving sizes. Their hummus was one of the best I have had.Major issue was that it was very noisy with screaming kids running around and no-one did anything about it. Made it almost impossible to have a conversation until after that party left. Also was very hard to hear our waitress.You also have to be aware that there is no alcohol here even though the drinks menu says things like gin" and "Prosecco"

Mezzaterra Illawong Restaurant
On Saturday my family and I dined at Mezzaterra in Illawong. The staff were extremely knowledgeable in helping us choose our dishes (we had lots of questions and they answered them all). When the dishes came out they looked divine. We had our young children with us and the staff were extra accommodating in making sure they had a special experience.I wish I could eat here every Saturday for breakfast! Definitely recommend.

We had the pleasure of having lunch there on Mother's day. The food was absolutely amazing (ingredients fresh and super tasty) and the portions were very generous. Their service was excellent and they kept making sure that everything was satisfactory. The place isn't too fancy, which is actually a good thing, because it gives you that casual feeling. If you want to take someone to experience Mediterranean food in a comfortable environment, Mezzaterra is a must! Thank you for the amazing experience!

Loved every aspect of this restaurant. Service was amazing, food was great and creative. Expect modern and creative takes on traditional Mediterranean dishes that work so well together. Definitely will be back!

Mezzaterra Illawong Restaurant
This place was recommended by a friend and I'm absolutely delighted to have tried it out. Some friends from my work came along and everyone had an incredible meal. The mezza was delicious and fragrant with the house-made baba ghanoush the definite highlight.The mains ... we ordered the mix plate, the roast shoulder which is served with a delectable jus, the kibbi as well as the barramundi. The only complaint I have is that we couldn't finish it all! Super yummy, extremely generous and exceptional hospitality and service from the staff. The lovely decor and general vibe added to what ended up being a splendid time amongst friends. We couldn't possibly recommend it highly enough; we'll certainly be back.

The food was exceptional! Beautifully present and absolutely delicious.It was pretty far from Caringbah but we’ll worth the drive and they have a river near by where you can walk…take dogs too as there is out door seating.

From the first moment you step in, it is absolute impeccable class all the way.Cleanliness, decor [and I don't personally fuss over those myself] are very much indeed on-point and you will not fail to notice both. And let us not rule out the quality of service: for you are welcomed and looked-after sublimely from the get-go.Until you reach the elaborate, detailed menu outlining *the* classiest blend of Middle Eastern and western dining, so detailed that the management [blessed-be] even included a glossary to guide you at menu's end! Now I felt that mentioning this tidbit alone was significant, because frankly I'd not noticed it anywhere else.Guaranteed if the extensive range of mezza entrees fail to fill you up - the main courses will sort you for that, big time.Grilled Halloumi was a scrumptious filler, I ate the most artfully-presented Hommous bowl and the Southern Calamari with Toum Mayo' was an inspired combination.The main courses of Rangers Valley Steak and Chicken Shawarma were a delicious luxury exceeding any expectations.As for dessert - I only got to enjoy the Baklava Cigar during one of two [to date] visits but I will boast about this fancy, intricate bake as a must.Portion and taste for all, were indeed paramount.On top of that: the venue is Sydneytown's first official Sobar.An eye (as well as taste-bud) expanding 'foray' that I personally had not encountered elsewhere to date - so much so that I basked indulging in the myriad of cocktails, wines and martinis, all of which are alcohol-free and quite sublime in their own right.I look forward to going for the gin and tonic next time.Mezzaterra is a significant credit to the Sutherland Shire and, for me, it rates as the undisputed favouriteof restaurant dining [and lunch] experiences I've ever had in 2022, to date.

Great service, amazing food full of authentic flavour, generous servings, variety of dishes on the dinner menu (not only Lebanese food), creative beverages menu. Amazing brunch menu too with many options to choose from.I've been there alone and with children under 6 and on both occasions food was out quickly but in the meantime kids were preoccupied with the colouring activities provided by the restaurant!Will definitely be back!!
