Such a calming and zen atmosphere to enjoy such fresh, hot and delicious food. My husband and I go to spot whenever we're in Box Hill. Definitely worth the try and so happy that they're halal!

Bowltiful Lanzhou Ramen has one of my favourite restaurant dishes here in Melbourne which is stewed beef brisket with dried noodles in Chive noodle size...this is seriously a bowl of tasty noodles...it seems heavy but it doesn't taste heavy...highly recommended!

First of all, the staffs are super friendly and the place is beautiful. It is cozy and clean. For the foods, they use a homemade noodles which are not bad. Less chewy, and little bit too crunchy. The soup is great if you want to have freshness sensation, but it is not the best choice if you want to have some hard spicy taste. And the lamb is outstanding, while the beef is on average. Last, the price is $16.8 for a full of bowl, which is okay. Oh, one more thing, this place is 100% halal!

There are good noodles here but I have not seen so many complicated surcharges in any restaurant! It leaves a bad feeling & you're wondering how to side step all these conditions so as not to incur unreasonable surcharge. If you bought a takeaway noodle here on the weekend after 10pm, does the surcharges just keep adding up? It could mean $4-5 of surcharge for a $17 bowl of noodles? This would be crazy.

Very good. Best noodles I had in the southern hemisphere! The sauces were very nice. Good service. Nice people. The food comes fast. Recommended for all!

I would strongly advise against visiting this place.My family and I dined here for dinner on Sunday, 16th April 2023, and we were disappointed with our experience. Despite the restaurant being empty, the staff refused to let us join tables because we hadn't made a booking, so we had to sit separately on two different tables. After some time, we asked again and were eventually allowed to sit together.My kids did not want the noodles, which were the only option available on the menu. We brought food from outside for them, but the staff reprimanded us for doing so, even though we had already ordered and paid for our food. We put the outside food away, but the kids had to wait until we left to eat it, by which time it had gone cold.When the food arrived, it was terrible. The broth was bitter, and there was more chilli oil than soup. The meat was minimal and unappetizing, resembling offal more than anything else. None of us could eat it. We asked for a few bowls to remove some of the oil, but even after doing so, there was still too much left.We decided to ask for a refund and leave. However, when we asked for a full refund, they only offered to refund part of the money, despite all the bowls being full. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this place.In the words of Gordon Ramsay, there was so much oil that America was ready to attack it." I would give negative stars if I could. I have attached photos of the oil we removed from each bowl

We got take away from here. Highly recommend the lanzhou beef brisket noodle soup and the special stir fried noodles. We also had a side serve of spicy seaweed and the black sesame buns for dessert. All dishes were absolutely delicious!

2.5 stars out of 5.I’ll Start by stating that I’m comparing my dish at bowltiful to master lanzhou restaurant at the glen because that’s my benchmark and my regular, which is consistently a 4 or 5 star out of 5. I drove past my regular place to come to bowltiful today specifically to try it on a recommendation from a friend.I ordered the braised beef soup and two sides. The shredded potato and the sweet pickly veg sides. I regretted buying the sides immediately as they are lacklustre and boring. Especially the potato.Now to my soup, 2 out of the 5-6 pieces of beef were practically just gristle. I don’t mind it if there is also meat but just tough gristle so I left them aside. Noodles were decent and broth was ok but lacking depth compared to my usual noodle place.I really wanted to love it but unfortunately it left me regretting not just going to master lanzhou instead. Most likely first and last time

Very yummy bowl of noodles. It’s flavourful and delicious. The noodle consistency was chewy and good. There are many different type of noodles depending on your preferences.

Bowltiful Halal Lanzhou Beef Noodle
Visited this place for the first time with a friend. It is in a convenient location, Box Hill, and the restaurant is clean and looks new. In terms of foods, lanzhou beef noodles are their specialty but there are plenty of options, including a few vegetarian options and dry noodles if you are not into soup noodles. Overall foods were quite delicious and price was reasonable.
