Echuca Camping

Went into this store and a rude older man from behind the counter aggressively asked if I had a mask I replied that I have a medical exemption and are not required to wear one and smuggly replied Ohh really? I'm guessing to say I was lieing... then as I was walking away said well to be in this store its a requirement you wear one I then replied that I've had to explain this before and that I actually don't need to wear one. Certainly was not letting it go..... May I add that my husband was also in the store and was not spoken to rudely at all (I don't think he realised we were together) I understand that it's a rough and scary time living with Covid and rules are in place for a reason but you can ask questions without such a vulgar attitude especially towards a mother with her young children needless to say I put what I was planning to purchase back on the shelf and took my business else where to the shop next door where my family were greeted with exceptional service and were more then happy to buy from.

The chap who served me was extremely helpful and went out of his way to resolve my issue connecting my three ring burner to a bayonet connection gas hose.

Peta owns the store and she's got a wealth of product knowledge.These guys have the all the leading brands from Leatherman to Buck Knives, Olight and more, everything you'd expect to find in a camping shop however some of their prices can be a little on the high side but shop local, support local and keep locals in the job :)

Great family run business. Of the three camping stores next to each other, this is the one where we received the most help from the salespeople. We bought a self-inflating mattress here during our camping trip, when the camping bed we brought from Melbourne broke during our stay. Packing it up, the strap broke and the metal pierced the mattress. I returned it with some trepidation, thinking I would get the runaround from a small business, keen not to have to do an exchange or refund, especially since I suppose most of their customers are once-off tourists. On the contrary and to my surprise, the owners were onto the sales rep at Oztent within minutes to organise an exchange and give me advice on proper use (though not needed :)) Of the three camping/fishing supply stores next to each other, I'll definitely be going back to this one on my next trip to Echuca
