If you need to fix an e-scooter, don't go to E-Motion Medcalf Showroom. Don't waste time and money. My story:Day 1: I dropped my Ninebot G30 max off at this showroom. The diagnosis was simple: punctured back tire and dead controller board. There was a part of the bottom plate that was melted. The technician didn't remove the bottom plate to check the controller board. He asked me to come in 7 days. He told me the cost would be $150. He put a little tag with my name and phone number on the scooter.Day 8: The box with the spare parts just arrived. The scooter is not fixed. I didn't receive any phone call to let me know that the repair was delayed. He asked me to come back in 3-4 days.Day 13: The scooter is not repaired as the bottom plate didn't arrive with the box. He asked me to come back in 7 days. I didn't receive any phone calls.Day 20: The bottom plate is still missing. He didn't call me. I asked him to use a second-hand one. He agreed and asked me to come back in 3 days.Day 24: The scooter is not fixed as he was not able to remove the old bottom plate. The screws were in a very bad condition. He told me that he had called a mechanic to remove the plate. He didn't call me because he had lost the tag with my name and phone number. I gave him my phone number again. He asked me to come back in 3-4 days.Day 28: The scooter is not repaired. The technician explained to me that the mechanic doesn't have the right tool to remove the plate.  New tools were ordered. He asked me to come back in 3-4 days. Of course, I didn't receive any phone calls.Day 32 : The new tools didn't arrive. No phone call. He asked me to come back in 3-4 days.Day 39 : The mechanic was sick. Therefore the scooter was not repaired. No phone call. I made the decision to repair the scooter by myself.I  lost 39 days as I was able to remove the bottom plate in 25 minutes with 2 screwdrivers and a hacksaw. I then realized that the controller board was fine. I had to cut 3 wires and buy some little connectors at Jaycar ($10). I ordered a new tyre ($40) and a bottom plate ($35) on eBay. I got these parts in 5 days. It was very hard to change the tire (2-3 hours and a lot of swearing) but I did it. Altogether it took me 7 days to repair my e-scooter by myself.Last but not least, the shaft locking screw was missing when I picked my scooter up from E-Motion Medcalf Showroom. It was not missing when I dropped it off...To summarize, don't go there as you probably have more skills than the technician of that place.
