Custom designed by me and built exactly to my specs.Contacted me same day as promised on their web site - extremely courteous and professional communications at all times.Item was promptly manufactured despite the business being justifiably busy, and the grate was then rapidly delivered by courier as part of the price. Couldn't be happier with the service I received from Mara and Dan. I called to discuss options for my fireplace. Following my call I sent through the dimensions of my fireplace. Mara replied and provided me options for both 'off the shelf' grates and also included an option for a custom made grate to make the most of the space in my fireplace. All communications were prompt, friendly and professional. My custom made grate and slide out ash pan were delivered quicker than I had anticipated. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a fire grate and ash pan.

After looking at the local hardware for some wrought iron door handles for internal barn doors, we found the Newcastle handles at Steel Heart Forge. At less than half the price of what was available from the local store AND made in Australia, they were just what we were looking for. The service was very friendly and efficient and the handles arrived quickly. They look great. Very pleased with this purchase.

Living in WA we were finding it difficult to track down a fire grate and ashpan to fit our fireplace. I came across SHF purely by chance, with them being Eastern States and so glad I did.
