Unfortunately the pies are no where near as good as when Evelighs owned the place very hard to find a good pie maker now days. Pastry was good but pie sadly lacked flavour inclusive of pepper and salt some Worcester sauce would definitely help in the preparation.

pies were a let down, soggy and went everywhere. asked the worker what pies they had in as i knew the werent fully stocked, her reply was ‘it would be easier if you read the board’. when i made up my mind and chose one, her reply was ‘we dont have that one’..will not be back. bring back darbys

Not a great experience unfortunately, the pie had a generous serving of steak which was good, but the gravy was somehow flavourless and over salted at the same time and the pastry didn't hold the structure at all after the first bite.Unfortunate to give a small business a low rating, but the quality of their pies really needs to be improved.
