Hands down BEST pies I've had!Definitely worth stopping in if you're passing by.

Came here as our last fuel stop before camping at Girraween National park and was pleasantly surprised! Staff was really friendly and we picked up firewood which came in big bags and great value for money!

Travelling from central QLD to Sydney last week we stopped at the Ballandean Bakery for a coffee. Congratulations to the friendly and professional young woman who served us (she may be the/an owner). The store is bright and clean and well stocked. They make excellent coffee (as good as any, anywhere), and have practical, heat proof cups. You can see into the actual bakery that shows their baked goods are genuinely baked on site. They had just introduced pies, I wish we had bought a couple!We purchased 6 choc Easter buns that we saved for a couple of days until we got home. They were the BEST Easter buns I have ever eaten.The store is on the left if heading North. Well worth stopping at this humble generalstore/bakery.

A hidden treasure in the local servo.Very friendly cheery staff. Bought some lovely sesame seed rolls. Had a pepper beef (could have used a bit more gravy) and vegetable pie. Lovely flaky pastry on both. I loved my veggie pie with broccoli, cauliflower and corn and a kind of bechamel cheese sauce.There are Christmas cakes, local honey, some local artworks and candles, books onlocal fauna and plum puddings for sale as well.
