TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL -BEWARE IF YOU ARE A SYDNEY BUYER. We originally made an offer on a Blackheath property managed by Ray White Blackheath which was within range. We spent a lot of time reading the Contract, liaising with the Vendor's Conveyancers & reading the building report. It wasn't accepted & the Agent suggested we make an offer at the top of the range which we did & was also not accepted & then silence for days on end. Then the unbelievable occurred and the range was updated UPWARDS....when does THAT ever happen? We withdrew our formal offer yet advised the Agent to keep us in the loop with regards to final offers as the method of negotiation had been unreasonable, irrational & we were tired of being manipulated. Whereas properties were being sold within 1 week. The Agent told us the Vendor wanted to open the property on 3 occasions. If the Vendor wanted top dollar why didn't they proceed to auction? We were never kept in the loop. Last Monday we received a call from the Agent whilst we were driving. We called as soon as we got home & left a message. Yesterday we get no return call so we called. He didn't return our call. Today Domain says the property was sold for $1.3 million. We would have bid $1.320 million if ONLY we had been consulted. Another case of an Agent unilaterally deciding who they wanted to sell a property to & not acting in the best interests of the vendor or prospective purchasers. Very angry & disappointed. Wasted our time...I just read the Agent's response....not accurate & misleading....our review is totally warranted...Agent just wanted to punish us for withdrawing our offer because we had grown tired of being manipulated & the fact we had received no response to our 2 offers in writing....his mobile had a message bank & we left messages on it....not to be believed.
