Leader Computers

If I could give leader less then one star I would! Nothing but troubles from the start. My laptop would constantly glitch and the screen would turn black so that it was unusable. I have lost count of the amount of times I have taken my laptop to Leader to get fixed just for it to be fixed temporarily and the same problems to occur. Now just before the end of uni, when all my important assessments are coming up, the laptop has decided to die on me. I have looked after it immaculately just to lead to it letting me down. I was hoping to be able to support an Australian business but as they say “you win some, you lose some”. I am very disappointed and strongly recommend not buying leader if you are looking for reliability.

The laptop I brought from a computer shop in Stirling was the worst thing I ever spent money on in my whole life. The shop didn't want to know me after I paid in full and had to wait a few days for it to come in. The first time I went back with it because of problems I was told go to leader and there ended their help. The laptop in total went back 3 times in the 2 year warranty time, with the last time been pushed from pillar to post to get some answers. Now the warranty is up and I can't even send e mails on the stupid machine. I'm binning it and going to get a new laptop asap. So in short stay away from leader.

This week we attended the Leader Service Department here in Adelaide to repair an 8 month old Leader brand laptop belonging to my son in Year 12. The service we received was professional, friendly and super fast. Repaired under warranty and within 3 days, which is really appreciated. Will always buy local when we can, and grateful for the quality back up offered by Leader.

Computer's about to go in for its 10th repair for the same hardware issue as the 9th - 7th. The customer support is good, don't get me wrong, but when it comes to the fixing of the issue oppose to the acquisition, I'm not convinced that they're not all trainees. The craptop has been owned for less than a year and a half, with roughly 1 month of clean usage in between repairs. Whilst they are not making me pay due to the recurrence of the issue, the constant halt in work/social life is jarring to say the least.

Backed with great Warranty Service.My experience is the opposite of Ru's. A suspected CD Rom failure in a 4 month old laptop lead to a 7 minute phone support call to troubleshoot, during which they suspected faulty hardware. A quick drive direct to them and 10 minutes they had the CD Rom determined faulty and replaced. Never a problem.This a a stark contract to the headaches I experienced with a HP purchase from a multi-national 10 years ago that the retailer never gets involved with. I would only ever buy a Leader computer for their support after today's experience. Cheers, Nicole.

I bought my laptop from Leader 18 months ago and since day 1 have had a lot of trouble with connection to the internet, it's been super slow and occasionally and icon pops up and my laptop stops working entirely and I have to reboot it. Eight months ago, I took it to the shop I bought it from who sent it off and told me nothing was wrong with it so gave it back.

I didn't realise that the first person I got over the phone was in charge of dispatching calls to the relevant department. After 5 seconds of trying to explain why I was calling, he very aggressively told me to hurry up. If you can't be professional maybe get another job. Nobody wants to be talked to that way, even more when they are a customer!The next person I talked to knew what they were doing and got it done.If you call them, you'd better hurry the hell up!
