If you are in to pies this place is really good. Great range of real meat pies - good and chunky - one of the best pie places in Victoria. Coffee was good as well. No mega jumbo huge sizes though.

Fantastic pies! In my opinion Wild Rye's in Canns River Victoria justifiably earns the silver medal for best best pies in Australia. Bested only by Uki Pies in north eastern New South Wales. A lovely atmosphere with extremely helpful and wonderfully friendly staff and regular customers alike. I sincerely recommend stopping off hear for an amazing pie in a fabulous spot, what great pie shop.

If you are driving by Cann River you must stop here. The coffee was perfect the pastry was incredible. Staff very friendly and welcoming. You will not be disappointed.

Oh wow… what an awesome find.My husband LOVES steak & kidney pies & has been on the lookout for one for a very long time.We popped in when we saw that they had them on the menu. We bought 3 - I hot, to eat straight away & 2 to freeze for another day!…I enjoyed the blueberry crème brûlée tart, I really wanted it to last forever!Coffees were hot & delicious.Staff were fantastic, the shop was getting very full whilst we were there & they coped brilliantly!We will definitely be back!

best pie shop I’ve come across in 5 years of aus travels !! me and my partner tried multiple each - all delicious ! incredible range of pies, good pastry, good flavours. 10/10 - my new favourite pie stop on an east gippsland road trip

Fabulous pasties and pie. Had the spinach and cheese pasties and bacon, cheese and steak pie and blueberry cream brulee. Meat in the pie was chunky. Not minced.

Super friendly cafe with lovely breads, pies, and pastries. (They even drew us a map with some highlights of places to visit on the way to our next stop!) The Turkish breads were great even a couple of days later when we toasted them and used them for sandwiches. The vegetarian pumpkin pie was really flavorful and the carrot cake and zucchini and pistacio cake were excellent.One less star, though, because the rest of the sweet pastries we tried were good but not excellent - the chocolate hazelnut cake was too crumbly and dry, the custard of the creme brulee with blueberries was a bit thin and watery, and the orange cake had an orange peel/marmalade kind of bitterness to it.All in all, a great place. Definitely get the bread and pies, and stick with the carrot or zucchini cakes.
