Great staff food amazing it was really busy for breakfast on the public holiday bit it was relaxing sitting and waiting and not beening rushed breakfast was amazing as well thanks for a great night

Mission Beach is something special. The relaxed and peaceful vibes are perfectly enjoyable wherever you choose to stay. Castaways is right on the beach front and with various room options it's a good place to be. It's a short walk to the village, and obviously direct access to the beach and the adjacent walking path makes it easy to enjoy the km of beach and ocean views. Be mindful that the view from some upstairs rooms above the restaurant is interrupted by the roof of the patios below. If this is an issue, check on your booking. The restaurant is open for coffee lunch and dinner to enjoy.

Nice smaller resort style place on the beach. Small town atmosphere. Not much going on locally but pretty beaches to visit. In summer can only swim in netted areas do to stingers (jellyfish)

The view from our balcony was incredible! It was the service at the restaurant that was unfortunately a let down. We went to the restaurant for dinner and waited 40 minutes to be served. To the point that I had to ask at the bar for a bottle of water and for us to be served. Wasn’t sure if they were understaffed but hoping this doesn’t happen to others in the future.

We had our wedding at Castaways and we can honestly say they made our dreams come true, such a wonderful place with a caring and qualified team to help you.Our beach wedding was so easy to plan with the attentive care of Angele who was responsive and informative even after the wedding day was over. On the big day we had wonderful support from Jo and in particular Martin who served us throughout our reception. The beach was set up beautifully with the arbour and the meal at Buko was delicious, our guests are still raving about the food!!We stayed at Castways for a total of 5 nights and throughout our stay the staff were brilliant, big shout out to Hannah, Daniel and Dennis who saw ALOT of us at Buko during our stay and were brilliant throughout. We stayed in one of the Island spa suites and they have recently been modernised and look great, there was lots of space for the wedding day hair and make up.We will definitely be back :)Thank you so much Castaways Team!

We did ask for a nice view but only got one seeing the restaurant roof. The room looked quite different than the one shown while booking and was a bit outdated.At reception it sometimes felt that staff is not too eager to have contact with their guests.Construction was going on for a few days making it impossible for the Baby to have an afternoon nap.Door lock broke and an unhappy person fixed it for an hour.Restaurant food and service was great but a bit expensive.Location was exceptional.

Accidentally booked the rainforest part of the hotel and wasn't pleased about the type of room I got compared to what I was expecting. Be very careful and ensure you book the beachfront room. Room was outdated, small, and everything seemed to be falling apart. Good side was that it was close to the beach and village.

First time diner to Buko’s, I expected more from a Resort, service was ordinary, food expensive for plain dishes. Cashier had attitude. Dirty toilets, Disappointing as could be so much more.
