Raging Thunder

Best experience in Cairns to date. Raging Thunder team were great. Special mention to our river guide Dazza.

So much fun rafting on the majestic Tully river in idyllic surrounds! Mezza was our boat captain. He was absolutely fantastic, a great guide, entertaining, informative and an expert at navigating the rapids. The whole boat had an absolute blast.You will get wet! You will get tired and hungry make sure to eat well beforehand and pack snacks. It's a long drive ~2hrs+ from Cairns.All up a great day, I would highly recommend!

Thoroughly exciting and well executed experience. Guides were proficient, hard-working, fun and safe. Plenty of thrills and a good mixture of serene paddling and whitewater drops. The scenery was awesome.

Totally worth the money and experience! It was a good 2-3 hours on the gorge and Dan was funny and encouraging, and the experience was fun and exciting. He also reacted quickly to pull me up from the waters when I fell in - a sign that his mind is focused on safety while also providing a fulfilling experience for us rafters. Very happy and would recommend to anyone else.Things to improve:- Indication that the bus to pick you up at the hotel would have Tully River Rafting" decals.- For some sort of simple and temporary partition to be erected for changing after the experience ends.- Indication for the need to lift the raft out at the end of the gorge to mentally prepare participants for some heavy lifting (in case of any pre-existing injuries that may prevent that)"

I had one of the nicest experiences ever with Raging Thunder yesterday!I was a bit scared at the beginning because I knew the Tully river was different to Barron in terms of rapids, but our guide Joni assured us and everything went really smooth, it was soooo fun!

I had an amazing time water rafting! Everyone was amazing. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time and never once worried for my safety as the crew really do take care of you. If you wanna have an awesome day with some awesome people go rafting!!! You won’t regret it!

Fantastic day spent with Raging Thunder. Rafting the Tully River. Well organised and professional set up. Great fun time had by all. A real awesome experience. Joey our guide was amazing, kept us safe but had lots of fun. Thoroughly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic, whether you do Tully or the more tame Barron. The guides are amazing and you'll have heaps of fun whether experienced or a complete newby. Something you keep in mind you'll generally be in boats of ~6 so take friends or be comfortable getting wet with strangers.
