Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience, and we can have a conversation without feeling too uptight. The food is absolutely amazing – their modern and rustic dishes well worth the visit. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while in richmond. Highly recommend!

Overall I think our meal was excellent. To be competitive I think there would need to be some improvements but we had such a nice time it's hard to be super critical. First of the service was exceptional, answered all my questions about the food and wine. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The venue was rustic offered a really lovely ambience for dinner, we sat at the bar which to my pleasure had high back seats.FoodWe had the set menu + paired wines. I thought the whole package was great but some dishes could still use work. The kingfish was a particular weak point as it was in need of a touch of acid/salt, the creamy dill sauce completely overpowered the delicate fishes taste.Additionally the wagu steak main featured many strong flavours which fought for attention and didn't blend nicely for each bite.The wine pairings were solid and as a combo I actually thought the desert on offer was really lovely. The dish was almost savoury and herbaceous with a sweet white wine to brighten the whole thing and round out each bite.4/5

Had a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday dinner here.The food was delicious, good quality of meat and seafood, well seasoning. I think my most favourite dish was terrine and homemade brioche.Dessert was lovely too!The vibes was friendly and cosy like I was having dinner at some of my friend's house.Would love to go back to try another dishes too.

Had an amazing experience at Oster 24/1 for dinner. Our food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The paccheri ragu is definitely one to try! Our waitress Adrianna was friendly, attentive & made our experience one definitely worth returning!

My partner and I enjoyed the degustation menu with paired wines this Saturday evening.I am still in awe by the service, flavours and the absolute passion the staff had for the food in the restaurant. It is not often you have the owner (also head chef) take such enjoyment in story telling the menu items so personally. I feel as if I was transported for the evening and will hold this experience as the standard for any future tasting menus.My partner and I are looking forward to returning for the winter menu. Ostēr is the true fine dining experience perfectly matching skill with humility.

Couldn't have had a more perfect meal here. I booked the degustation menu with paired wines for myself and my partner, with the plan to have dinner and then go for a walk where I would propose to him. They were able to accommodate a few food aversions with no issue, and the staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. The food was beyond incredible - unfussy while still being adventurous and exciting. I'm still thinking about that ravioli with pecorino foam, and my partner listed all the wines we tried because we enjoyed them all enough to track them down at home.I want to give special thanks to the lovely woman who served us, and introduced every plate and wine pairing with genuine passion, interest and care. You really made the dinner so special and memorable, and we loved talking to you about the wines & food.This was the perfect lead-up to the proposal and I'm very happy to share - he said yes! Thanks again to the team at Ostēr, for the most memorable meal of my life and I hope my partner and I can return the next time we're in Melbourne.

What a fantastic meal! Well done to Nic and the team.We did the tasting menu for two. We aren’t big drinkers so decided against the paired wines and opted to just share a single bottle. When we asked about which wine would match the menu, head chef and owner Nic came out and talked us through multiple wine options and even gave us a couple of samples to try before we chose.The meal itself was well balanced and interesting. Highlights included a dry aged kingfish entree and a ravioli with butter foam - but to be honest all of the dishes were very memorable.Would highly recommend!

Food was simply amazing. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the wagyu beef ragout so hearty and tasty. The fish was delicately fresh in an exquisite bisque. Don’t miss out on the house made sourdough bread. And the oysters…my wife who doesn’t eat oysters had half a dozen!The atmosphere was great too and a special mention to our fabulous hostess Adriana who was delightfully warm, friendly and accommodating.Best restaurant we’ve ever been to in Australia!

I had heard great things about the food and needed to experience it myself and I was not disappointed, it exceeded my expectations! Each dish presented was exquisite and well crafted and mouth watering. Every dish presented showed the chief's true craftsmanship, love and passion.All produce is locally sourced and from Australia. The staff are friendly, chef was easy going and service was excellent.Great fine dining and venue and will definitely be coming back.
