Hardings Falls
A lot of hidden trails and amazing secluded spots. Short or long trails dependent on comfort and fitness level.

This is an impressive waterfall that can be seen from both above and below (although the track to the base of the falls is a bit more challenging and would not suit all walkers). As noted, the access road is a bit rutted. You might hesitate to take a rental car down it, but in relatively dry conditions you'd be all right in modest AWD vehicle. If you have reservations about the car, park on the main road and walk in. It's not that far. The access road continues past the picnic area for the falls and is definitely 4WD beyond this point. It connects the A3 to the MG Road (or McKinley Road as it is called on some maps). The facilities at the start of the walking track are adequate and the small car park is flat enough that you could RTT there if need be. The dunny is, well, a dunny. It's okay (unless the people before you have been pigs). There's a stone bbq and a picnic table. (If the pigs have left stuff in the bbq, do what we did and haul it away.) Don't let the falls distract you from the small details along the track. When we visited, there were all manner of fungi. Enjoy. Leave No Trace.

I love being outdoors, but this is one of those locations that covers a wide selection of criteria. It's a challenge walk, not a long walk but the ground is pretty uneven and at the end it's a rock scramble. You get stand under the falls, if you want, access at the base is great with large flat rocks and pools to dip your feet into. For the adventurous you can climb around the falls to the top.And they are rather tall so to stand at the base you get a chill up the spine and a reminder just how small we really are.

Very Steep to get down to bottom of gorge where there a few waterfalls in the one area. Dirt road to get there take care driving the last section as narrow, some parts Rocky. No phone reception section in parts along road.

The walk down is Ricky in places and sometimes slippery and a thin path. Got to bottom, so what we thought and no waterfall that we could see as we were still above the fall and hubby said it’s another 50 ft down so sorry peoples no photo of a waterfall. Oh! The road was made more for 4wd vehicles!

We visited after days of rain and while we had to take the car slow through the last 300m of road and jump puddles on the top of the walking trail the falls were spectacular! Tonnes of water coming over top and filling gorge with spray. Very dramatic. We lost the trail as it goes over top of ridge but also were being conservative at cliff edge. Look for the broken shale path.

Too good to ignore if there has been recent heavy rain - otherwise a really nice walk and falls. The roads could be better (maybe much better - but it is in the wilderness).Very easy track to follow and walk - but - watch the climb down - steep and many loose rocks but not too far and definitely worth the effort.Pics from two trips - very high flow but not flood - and normal lower flow.

Such an amazing place to visit. Road was very wet with lots of deep holes. The waterfall was pumping due to all of the rain lately

Hardings Falls are a little out of the way but are worth having a look at. The walk to the bottom is a bit of a scramble, but it will give you the best view. We didn't walk the circuit, so I can't comment on that.

One of my favourite waterfalls ever! It had rained recently so the waterfall was in full swing. Just be wary a 4wd is required to head to this waterfall, one way out was even flooded. The path to the waterfall was muddy and overflowing but was well worth it
