Halcyon House
Halcyon House is exceptional and a place where every little detail is considered. The stylish rooms, restaurant and pool area are so comfortable and creatively designed. The staff looked after us so well and were ready to go out of their way to ensure our stay was 5 star. All meals and drinks at Paper Daisy were incredible. We also loved the stunning location and would definitely come back.

My husband and I recently stayed at Halcyon House for our baby moon. We have stayed there before and always have a lovely time. I had to jump on to leave a positive review about Reuben who works in the restaurant Paper Daisy. He is an absolute asset to your business and was a pleasure to be around!! He even gave me a little handwritten good luck" note

If heaven was a place on earth, this would be it.From the big things to the smallest of details like your name on the screen of the in-house phone, every single detail was done to perfection.A special mention to the staff at paper daisy, it is very evident they receive extensive training, the service they provide is something we’ve never experienced. Our beautiful waitress went above and beyond with nothing but a smile and a friendly, warm persona. Whilst the food was out of our comfort zone, we thoroughly enjoyed it, the cocktails and champagne were equally delicious.My only problem is, I didn’t want to leave!Congratulations to the owner who has created an environment of ambience and happiness, with impeccable styling.I hope to return soon.Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and memorable.

Halcyon House
We booked a night away for our work Christmas party and had the best time. The location on the beach is amazing - we felt so taken care of and loved all the extra details everywhere.Paper Daisy was such a treat and our favourite was definitely relaxing by the pool soaking up some sun and the vibe you guys have created. We came home feeling like we had an amazing weeks holiday and was a great place to connect as a work team in a calm and sophisticated environment.Will definitely be back with the family.

Had an absolutely fabulous time with my partner on new years eve at Halcyon House just recently. The staff were SO friendly and knowledgable and made us bespoke cocktails as well as some fantastic suggestions from the menu. We got a $15 bowl of chips as a snack that were absolutely abysmal - avoid them at all costs. Outside of that, vibes were simply outstanding, highly recommended!

This place is simply wow. Firstly, the location, rooms and restaurant/pool are absolutely stunning. Secondly the staff are all exceptional and personable and they are extremely well trained in customer service. We have just returned from overseas and the service at halcyon is next level in comparison. The restaurant is also amazing for breakfast, lunch/poolside and dinner with a special mention to the gorgeous in room dining experience. Worth the price, will be back!

We had the best time here! Stayed 4 nights (Sunday - Thursday) and loved it. It was very peaceful and quiet during these times and we had the run of the pool and restaurant/bar. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Paper Daisy restaurant was epic with many items on the menu changing daily. The huge beach opposite was peaceful and pristine. We went surfing, runs along the beach, swimming and walks up to Norries Head.I have no idea why this only has a 4.2 rating!? People whinging about the price should just holiday elsewhere! We loved it and look forward to coming back.

Staying at Halcyon House was just one of those things you do once and you will never forget, making you wanting to do it again.The room we stayed was immaculate. The Restaurant, awesome. All services, staff members and even the weather was perfect.It was an experience to be kept forever.

We just enjoyed a very relaxing 5 night stay here at the adults only, small boutique hotel.Loved the general vibe the minute we arrived. Greeted warmly and offered a complimentary gin and tonic each whilst waiting for our room to be ready.We stayed in a ‘Master Room’ (#301) which was on the top floor and had fantastic views of the beach and pool area below.The room was huge and had a very generous balcony with both chairs and sunlounges. The bed was super comfy as were the luxe linen/pillows. Bathroom was great size and the shower head and water pressure fantastic.The inclusive breakfast was great, despite a few ordering mistakes from waitstaff on two of the mornings. Very delicious.Lunches around the pool or at the outdoor dining area most enjoyable.Dinner was included each night and whilst delicious, I personally found it a little repetitive after 5 nights.I think a choice of an inclusive lunch OR dinner would be a good option, as we often prefer big, long leisurely lunches whilst on holidays then a lighter meal before bed in the evenings.All the staff were very friendly and Matthew at the bar looked after us very well. A special mention of sommelier Fletch and restaurant manager(?) Michael. Both had fantastic wine knowledge and suggested some outstanding chardonnays and champagnes, which we enjoyed immensely.The spa was beautiful and we both enjoyed our couples massages and my wife her 3 hour spa package on her own another day.Our only real grumble was housekeeping. Not on the standard of their jobs (which were very good), but the very annoying knocks on the door every morning and evening of our stay asking if they could clean or turn down our room.Our dinner was pre-booked by the resort at 7.30pm each night of our stay. Why knock on our door at 7pm every night as we were showering and getting ready for dinner to ask if they could turn down our room? Surely F&B would say ‘The Taylors are in at 7.30pm every night of their stay’ and Housekeeping would know to come during our dinner service.Every morning there was knock, in one case I was still asleep. Again, our arrival for breakfast could be communicated very easily. Or if this was missed, a call when we were poolside.We had spa appointments booked at 10am one morning. It came as no surprise when we heard a knock on the door at 9.30am.We are fortunate to have stayed in many ‘luxury lodges’ throughout Australia in not dissimilar price brackets to the $2000 a night we paid here. At these other similar sized lodges (10-40 guest suites), there always appears to be very good communication between the F&B, Spa, Activities and Housekeeping departments with regards to guest movements throughout the property. This does not appear to be the case at HH.We had a great mini-break but came away feeling for the price we paid, there could be a few small improvements to get it to the 5 star experience we were hoping for.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Halcyon! Amazing food at Paper Daisy and wonderful service and spa treatment! We will definitely return and recommend to friends.
