Maryborough Hospital

I would like to thank and applaud the staff of the Maryborough hospital. Today i had an extremely frightening car accident and every single staff member looked after me with respect, care and kindness. All of you, from wardsmen, nurses and doctors. What an outstanding group of individuals. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Had gastronomy done can't fault the treatment I was given. Absolutely everyone was so professional and caring. The staff are very passionate about treatment and your care. Absolutely a credit to the hospital. Thank you so much.

Absolutely horrendous. The organisation and attention to detail is nothing short of beguiling. I wanted to seek attention for my injuries as I was concerned for the integrity , I approached Triage sporting an eggplant size wound around my eye with matching colour and explained that I was worried about the sutures. The young girl stared at me blankly and asked me was the wound in thr back of my head. I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing, was she stupid or just assuming a sense of humour. After waiting for over 2 hours, I was finally seen only to be dismissed within 30 seconds

Nurses show a complete lack of empathy to a scary degree. Pulled my partners cloth from her eyes without asking when In extreme pain, and stated “don’t start” when she wallowed in pain. Pathetic hospital with putrid staff. Will drive to Hervey Bay from now on. Disgusted

10 years ago today The staff of Maryborough Hospital Literally killed my father. My father had a small stroke. Went in for care. I informed nursing staff that he had an infection in his arm where the cannula had been placed. And asked for it to be removed. I was assured that it would be. I left for work to go away for a week. My mother called me to come home within 3 days of me being reassured by staff that they would remove the Cannula it was never removed. Dad was in a serious condition. He had gone septic. From the infection in his arm. The cannula where the infection began was still in his arm after me informing nursing staff 3 days prior. Dad should have been put on antibiotics immediately and the cannula removed immediately and changed into his other arm. Dad died because of this no other reason. It’s been 10 years today since this happened and it haunts me every day. I lost my best friend and my father. Because of this incident that should never of happened. I hope the staff in the ward that looks after people with strokes is totally different staff that looked over my father. As they did not look after him nor did they complete thier nursing duties. And are responsible for his death.

Worst hospital in the world, including Cambodia, went in for C section fractures Doogie Howser looking dr gives me an electrolyte test, recently ruptured a kidney and was given uti antibiotics

I really appreciate the care and effort from the staff here last night. Especially the triage nurse who tried so hard to keep everything moving with a busy patient load, waiting area and limited docs available. I could see everyone was moving as quick as possible to see and care for everyone. Thankyou.

Sat for 4 hours. Didn't see a doctor. Asked and they said when a doctor shows up we will be right with you. Took them 3 hours to even give me a rat test, never offered any results. I think if you dont have any doctors just stay home. The least you can do is tell people that when they come into emergency. I simply had to leave to take care of my sicker than I pregnant wife and daughter. I will continue to get sicker with my chronic health problem that hasn't even been in front of doctor despite me spending half my day on it so far. Ridiculous. I think this hospital just burns a million dollars a day of our money pretending to be a hospital despite having no doctors.

You present to Emergency, in pain. The triage nurse says she'll be out shortly once she's triaged a couple of of others. An hour later still waiting. You present overhear others saying they were here the day before and they waited five hours and left. The CT machine is down. There's someone waiting to see a doctor for a medical certificate because she had a small cut on her finger that she hand Elastoplast on. The nurse told her she didn't need stitches, it had healed, but she was allowed to still take up valuable space and time
