RACQ (Zillmere)

After repeated visits to my garage and being charged many hundreds to fix a water leak in my old BMW Jeff Lucas at RACQ Inspections suggested a new radiator cap, which fixed the problem for $80. He is a genius!

I recently had a car accident requiring an insurance claim. RACQ made everything as easy and hassle-free as possible. They have been awesome in every interaction.

Emergency, water pipe burst at 4.00am on Sunday, flooded bedroom, After I organised the Plumber, RACQ were advised around 8.00 and contractor arrived to dry out carpet around 11.00, all good, except he stated drying would take 3 to 7 days, however RACQ had been advised we were flying to Perth in 3 days, no person would be on the property for 8 days. Contractor said he would come back in 3 days to check progress before noon on the day we were to leave, he turned up after 2 days and the drying was still not down to an acceptable level. He advised drying machines should be left on. I contacted RACQ who advised that if I left the machines running with no person in the house for another 5 days then I would be responsible if anything untoward occurred, eg power surge, machines overheating, or any consequence (fire ?) and my insurance would not cover that. They also advised that if I elected to turn the machines off before the drying was complete and the carpet developed mould as a result of me turning it off then it would not be covered for insurance. I am between a rock and a hard place. RACQ are the insurer yet will not accept the risk, they say it is my decision and whichever way I decide to go and if there are consequences they will not be liable as it was my decision. Cant get out of RACQ soon enough.

Racq call.... Arrived very promptly...... Replaced stop/start battery...... For half the price I was quoted from dealership.... Well done RACQ !!!!!!!!

Interminable wait time EVERY SINGLE TIME we call these clowns - for banking, insurance, or a general question about a product. If you want to be treated dismissively and feel like a number rather than a customer, then look elsewhere for 'services' that RACQ claims to offer. Unfortunately we're locked into using RACQ banking so have no choice - potential customers should heed the above (and the other poor reviews) and choose somewhere else.

If I could give a 0 star review I would they are as useless and incompetent as their repairers poor job and poor customer service and experience, David from Racq threatened to fight me and they refuse to do the job properly and they said I'd I get a quote for my car they will cash settle me and so I did and they are refusing to pay to do the job properly, I never recommend Racq and never will go back them ever!!!

Put in our car seat extremely well and very quickly. Great communication and didn't do anything without asking
