Yacaaba Headland Trackhead
Very nice area and has a great view from the top. However, maintenance to this area is neglected so you cannot see a clear full 360° view. Everything is overgrown. The walk to the top was steep and rocky. Need a good grip shoe and bring sufficient water as it gets hot and humid. Thread slowly on the way down as it gets slippery with those dry leaves, rocks and protruding roots. Overall great hike to the top.

The walk to the first lookout, which only gives a view of Yacaaba spit, is moderate, but from there to the summit is very hard. The view at the summit is good, but some pruning needs to be done to improve it.

A relatively difficult trail that will take you to the summit of Mount Yacaaba. The track is difficult from the carpark as you need to walk a long distance along the soft sand (though the beach is beautiful). You will likely see families swimming near the carpark and people fishing the further along the beach you go.From the base of the mountain the trail starts which is a dirt trail which will take you through bushland. Toward the summit the track gets quite rough and in some parts, is comprised of rocks which you will need to walk over. This is not too difficult so long as you take your time.Once you reach the summit, there is a small clearing where you can rest but unfortunately, as the summit is in a mature forrest, there are limited views because of the tall trees. If you are lucky you may encounter some lizards which must reside on the mountain. They are elusive and will quickly run away when they see you.Overall this is a good track for a workout and exercise and I would recommend for more experienced hikers.
